I knew the foreign distributors were gonna raise hell over this.
I knew it.
Can someone say "breach of contract" ?

What was that we were talking about? Journey's "Management?" They are primed for a WhiteHouse run...

Real genius'.

Although awed at my predictive powers of prescience, this begs the question, "just how dumb is Journey's management"?
Seriously.
I didn't even have access to the band's contracts and I knew there had to be a clause about this in there somewhere.
The bonus tracks are specifically allocated to the foreign distributors. By now including the foreign tracks on the U.S. release, consumers will lose all incentive to purchase the foreign version.
No wonder the foreign distributors are now throwing a tantrum.

Doesn't Journey's management check this shit out before mass mailing press releases?

I'd go back to Plan Neal and re-mix Red13 for inclusion.

I'm sick of this shit. What a fucked up way to release a CD. Tour first, give it out to people who put it on Ebay so they can make money on it, not the band. Meanwhile it is all over the Internet for free. Then try to add value to the release by adding tracks, then get in trouble with foreign distributors. ANY OF US could do a better job.

Dammit to hell. I wish they would call the bluff of the damn foreign distributors.

This is BULLSHIT. :!:  :!: :x :!:  :!:

I wanna know who's idea it was to give Europe "Never Too Late" in the first place! Sure as hell wasn't the band's idea! At least not according to Schon & Castronovo interviews.

Damn bean counters ruin everything!

Our artists need to stop allowing these toads to DICTATE exclusive tracklistings to them.
I hope JRNY fights this every step of the way.

I thought Europe was the USA's bitch? Well, they are. I don't know why Journey "management" (dumbfucks), do this? Journey hasn't toured there since the Carter Administration..who gives a shit about EU??

Now, ALL of you on here, who said my "manager rant was ridiculous" can eat me. I TOLD YOU ALL SO!
The problem is, we aren't done yet. How many fuckups til the Band breaks free?

Now that the band has encountered this little impasse, I suggest they slap on some left over Arrival cuts in lieu of the now prohibited "It's Never To Late" and "Pride of the Family".
I think "Havin a Good Time" is long overdue to get on a Journey record.
Now's the time.

This is infuriating. Please don't blink, JRNY. Put the POTF and NTL on. The hell with what King and Frontiers try to do. Do right by us, we deserve those tracks as much the Sake and Cafe crowds.

NC, did they ever do a studio version of that song? It IS rather catchy.

They should be on the US release as the band promised. Kalodner and Sanctuary can and should make this happen.

It's definately "Sake," dude. I've read the Ian Flemming Bond novels. Can look it up.

Journey cannot afford to piss of the European and Japanese distributors. They are more likely to sell "Generations" over there than in the States.

Besides, put another new track out and it will create the desire for the product. However, I hope Journey will be able to work something out for a download of the bonus tracks. Maybe Frontiers can do something, or we just a wait a little longer. Once the UK and Japan sales plateau, offer the DL on Journey's site. Make it high quality, 320kbs, for $.99 each track. It will sell.

Ian Fleming is sooo fucking boring. I love Bond films, but Fleming is soo fucking dry. Every other channel seems to be airing a Bond marathon these days.

You think Journey Mgt. reads this board? They sure as Hell should. Tons of good, solid ideas. Wouldn't hurt if Neal and JC gave it a look onboard one of the motorcoaches enroute to next show.

   He can boring, true.

Still Like Live And Let Die and On Her Majestie's SS, but the one where he REALLY wrote about Sake, You Only Live Twice was totally dull.

Don't make me gloat over the Birds' exhibition W over the Birds on your home turf bro. TO who?

That was a BAD McPick in the 1st qtr, though. then he pantomimes a route change to reciever with that pained look on his face like the WR ran the wrong route.

Back on track. Sanctuary: GIVE US POTF AND NTL. We want and deserve it.

 Holy shit.
I jsut figured out Deano's true secret identity. He's not Neal Schon.
DDDDDDDDDDDDRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMM rollll.....

He's JOHN CHANEY. Don't EVEN tell me your political views and personality and now Temple reference are a coincidence, John.

And I'm sticking by my 10-2 predictio0n with losses to Free-Demo-Car State and Wisconsin. Cougars? They'll be in that bowl on 12/21 vs North Texas (who's in that game every year).
