I was told tonight that this board "was only for fun" and that I "took it too seriously".......maybe so....On that advice..

I can proudly say that I am so thankful for this board, and what entertainment it has given me.

I do in fact take Journey waaaaaaaay too seriously, but I also keep it real..I don't make flags to take on tour..or have prayer circles, or bless Steve daily...nor do I HATE Steve Perry!

Anyway, I enjoyed talking Journey, and also fighting for IT, but a certain poster told me me I was not doing it correctly...He can now smile deftly as he is the reason why I am now TOTALLY retired from this great forum.

28 told me I was the problem..good enough for me...I thought I was a good friend to all here....just not good enough for certain people.....

Anyway, what was I saying? I get to go to a week long Rock n Roll camp with Neal Schon. I am happy for that.. I am also happy for the laughs I gathered here at MelodicRock.com. I won't miss the Heads routine..

Maybe now I can get back into shape, and forget this horseshit.....

If you so badly want to stop taking things excessively seriously, you can start by doing away with these needlessly melodramatic farewells.

I read this board every day, and have only posted in the Journey forum a few times. I can see that RND has a great passion for the band, however, I find his posts full of language and, well abuse. Now before anyone thinks I condone the words and posts of those who come here with their own agenda (and they've made it clear they have an agenda), I don't. I find it pathetic.

I'm all for discussion, disagreement, and I'm no prude when it comes to language. But I find myself cringing with nearly every post made by RND when he is upset. Take five minutes, calm down. And perhaps if you don't give an audience to those with the agenda to simply bash, you might be a little happier.

For the record, I did not say Deano was the problem. But he needed to take responsibility for his part in all this. He has done this before, taken the "pity me" stance, the "it's all my fault" stance before. Neither one is correct. But he, like all of us, had a role in the "shape" of the board. Deano's language and attacks, whether in retaliation or not, were not condusive to a healthy forum. If he chooses to 'stay gone', that is a shame. I hope he returns, but that he can control his language more.

Sorry, but I agree with 28. EVERYONE is responsible for their words. Just as everyone is responsible for how they conduct themselves. That he and others could not ignore those with agendas is unfortunate, however that does not excuse his words or phrases. Quite often I have seen him apologize (which is more than can be said of others here), however he then goes off again. He is an adult, and as such, he can comport himself just like the rest of us. I guarantee people reading this forum are not going to view his tirades in a positive light...which is a shame as I think he genuinely cares about the band.

What am I looking to "get out of it"? NOTHING! You should know by now that none of this 'matters'. You say your points, they retort. It all boils down to back-and-forth.
