Interesting that you would take a quote from fiction to legitimze yourself.

To misquote another infamous quote, "Your truth is a fiction designed to account for descrepencies between your imediate physical sensations and your state of mind."

The only Bible HOTS has is the Word according to Steve Perry...

But that's ok. HOTS, still waiting for info on Steve's recent charitable work. Do you have any details?

Why is it that recent one mention of Perry doing something charitable is so noteworthy? Journey does benefits, etc every year but no one feels the need to ram it down your throat. Especially ridiculous how much has been made of it by the Perryheads at Backtalk.

I RARELY visit BT, so I am spared that. True, the world revolves around Perry for them. I am still waiting to find out WTF he is doing!!!! All I have heard is that he visited a sick kid or two. Not exactly Nobel Prize winning work.

Its is getting sickening there with all the thinly-veiled Perry praise that goes on.
Also too many there that think they know everything. I made menton of hearing Journey doing Mother, Father with Deen singing and Steve doing the high background part at the end at a couple of shows last year and was subjected to the wrath of a couple of Deen's family members. They are family and therefore kinda have the inside scoop and Deen sings ALL of that song. And I don't know what I heard and saw I guess.

I've read their posts there in the past enough to believe they are who they say, had thought they were pretty cool up to that point. I had read that forum ever since its been opened but never felt compelled to post til recently. I only posted that time because someone said they had been to a show where Steve sang that part and was told they didn't know what they were talking about. Either we were the only two there that had been to a show where Steve sang at all on Mother, Father or no one else wanted to contradict what they were saying. It wasn't like I had said Deen sucked or anything, just that Steve sang that one part incredibly well. Deen is a fine singer although I prefer Steve. It was last tour and I saw them in the East, Steve probably didn't sing it when they saw the shows in the Northwest at the beginning of that tour. Fortunately my wife was there with me and assured me that I didn't dream the whole thing. My last post there was something like "so I imagined it or made up or Steve was lip synching while Deen was singing..."
That was about the last straw for me for that board, jrnyman28's posts there are about the only ones I care to read anyhow.

I recall when Steve's brother, Joe Augeri, first started posting at BT. People where talking about Steve A. and his vocal techniques, maintenance, etc. and a poster named Joe Augeri chimed in, claiming that after concerts Steve can usually barely speak. People immediately assumed Joe was a fraud and a Perryhead, with some posters replying with curt rolley eyes faces such as this one:
CJ later confirmed it was indeed Steve's brother.

During one post concerning Steve Perry, Augeri's brother replied with "who?". Every sycophantic BackTalk butt sniffer LOL-ed and ROFLMA-ed about that one. But I didn't find it all that funny. If it weren't for Perry Augeri wouldn't have a gig right now and Steve A. would be the first one to admit that.

Joe Augeri no longer posts on the site now.

Perry was known for his trademark tuxedo outfit complete w/ tails.
I figured since Perry is now gone that it referred to that.

Here is a question concerning the tails' origin from his last fan asylum Q & A.

Q: Where did you get the idea to wear tuxedo tails on stage? They always looked so nice on you and it really became your trademark--so I was just curious what gave you the inspiration to start wearing them.

SP: I was watching an old black and white film years ago and saw Fred Astaire wearing black tails. I thought they'd look so cool with jeans and a t-shirt. SO-
I had some custom ones made that you can't buy. My tux tails are much longer and the colors of the lining are bright and fun. Something happens to me when I wear them. I can't explain it but, it feels GOOD!!!

That's correct. Neal's publishing for Remember Me was No More Tails.
Also, as jrmyman28 pointed out on that other forum, Journey's company name NOMOTA is derived from that phrase as well.

Wow, I had no idea the answer to my question would be so interesting. So it's a dig at Perry, eh? No wonder he won't play with them anymore.

Yes, but it only came about after he wouldn't play with them anymore--
unless you mean his not making a guest appearance at the HWOF show or the current tour. Funny that Neal dropped it after that one song.
Rock Dog was a cool one as well, first used for ROR. He was probably called that first by Randy Jackson. I thought maybe Neal dropped that one because an ex-wife might have some claim if it were used.
As for No More Tails, maybe they thought it best that he published under something else after that, before the Perryheads noticed and made a big deal about it.

Unfortunately, all posters with that kind of connection to the band have ended up leaving or posting very little because of the confrontations that inevitably happen. Allen Craft's posts were always interesting, he defended the band very well. I wonder if JSS will ever post there again.
I don't guess he was connected to the band but what ever happened to the dude called Meanie? He was like Monker on steroids on that first forum Journey had on the net. Battles with that Towanda freak on the Perry side were very entertaining. What happened to her?

Allen Craft or AlienC, as he was better known on BT, was unceremoniously fired.
One day posters asked him a question on BT and he responded with a brief and disconcerting "Allen doesn't work here anymore".

That's the last I've heard of him.
