Yes.
Very good.
This person asked a question concerning Perry and ergo, veered this discussion to be about him.
So if you were aware of this already (as you clearly were), why did you keep demanding to know why peole were conversing about Perry, when you, yourself, just explained it quite pellucidly above?

PROPERRY wrote:What's the matter is there just NOT enough exciting things going on with the current Journey???. NOTHING to talk about huh??? So VERY sad that all "you both" can do here is slam Perry!!!!

PROPERRY wrote:Well IF there is PLENTY to talk about with the current Journey, as YOU SAY, then WHY arn't you talking about them & those things?????

PROPERRY wrote:And here YOU CLAIM to be such a BIG FAN of the current Journey, you STILL CAN'T THINK of anything to say about the current Journey????

What a dumbass!

Which is why people are discussing Perry. You asked and you answered. Why doesn't it sink in?

PROPERRY wrote:Then NC & Deano jumped on the band wagon of attacking Perry.

Deeno's methods are a little crude so I can understand that you think he is attacking Perry. In fact, he is pointing out his experiences and his reasons for feeling the way he does about Perry. Perry is not here, and therefore, Perry is not being attacked. However, TNC was in NO WAY attacking Perry. He gave the OTHER side of the story so the priginal poster could draw his/her own conclusions.

Not here, not yet...but it happens in every thread. You claim "we" are not talking about Journey on this board, yet "we" do all the time. When was the last time "YOU" started a thr4ead to talk about Perry?

What the heck are you talking about Jrnyman? What experiences does Deano have WITH Perry PERSONALLY, other than shaking his hand at the WOF & getting his autograph??????

And Yes, I know that Perry is NOT here on the board, but just because he is NOT HERE does not mean he is not being attacked verbally.

I find Deano's post to be more that just a "little crude" as you say. I'm very glad for Perry's health & well being that HE had body guards at the WOF, (referring to the kind of 'threatening remark" Deano made towards Perry). I'm NOT saying Deano would have done what he said, but that remark went too far here on the board. Go back & reread it, if you don't know what I'm referring to.

Dean is currently volunteering w/ the red cross helping the misplaced victims and the abject conditions left in Katrina's wake.
You should be ashamed to insinuate that he is anything less than a saint.

The guy's a hero for fuck's sake, try to show him at least some modicum of respect.

You're a loon who's completely detached from reality.
Dean said he'd "slug Perry in the dick", and that rather blue comment was soooooooo obviously made in jest that I'm chuckling just typing it.

PROPERRY wrote:I'm NOT saying Deano would have done what he said

Yes you are.
Why else would you say you were thankful that Perry had bodyguards with him?
You are implying that Deano (a man I know personally to have a pacifistic heart of gold) is dangerous.
You are now trying to "swift boat" an altruistic red cross volunteer.
How low can you possibly get?
This thread has now officially taken a turn for the vile.
I need to go puke in the latrine.

NC,

I think it is GREAT that Deano is volunteering with the Red Cross!!! Great Job Deano! :D

Unfortunately though, HIS remarks on this board are not always so saintly.

Firstly, I am trying to watch College Football!

And thanks for the kind words, but I am hardly a hero!
I would NEVER slug Perry in the dick. I actually love the dude, he just has pissed me off to no end. He did appear to have a bodyguard or two, and I am nothing special, but I could have taken em I think.. They weren't all that IMO..

I always make a point to ask security guards at Journey shows; "you guys aren't expecting any problems at a Journey show, are you?" No no no..not at all..this is the easiest assignment of the year, they say.. I said, "well, Judas priest is here next week." and the cop said, "I am marking off for that one! My point is, no one who is a Journey fan will start anything..!!

Please, why the Hell can't we find harmony here? I know I rock the boat more than others, but goddammit, Journey has always been about unity and optimism....

Again, thanks for the kind words, but I am sure most of you would volunteer if you could...Seriously, it is something I am having second thoughts about really..I just spoke with Anderson Cooper, and I was wearing my Under the Radar shirt..He commented on it actually..the first words out of his mouth were, "so is the new singer any good?" I thought, "what the Hell?"

Anyway, it is worse than the news says it is..I saw my first cotton mouth today..those fuckers actually will chase you down...a snake that chases you....geez, what did I get myself into. That is the primary reason we have to sleep inside..it is so muggy, it is unbearable..

When I was 16, 17, I wanted to be like Perry in the worst way. I wanted to be able to sing like him...to be able to be awestruck like him..Then He left..and he lied..and he turned his back on me and the true fans...

Now I really don't hate him..I just haven't forgiven him..

I would much rather be a dude like Neal Schon....
Gee, when I was 16 I wanted to nail a girl named Eva...which I did after a lot of dates and treating her like the lady she was.....And gee, she loved that Frontiers concert I took her to.
So what's your point....Deano....

Well Deano, the problem with that is, when I say what I really think it pisses people off even when I'm not intentionally trying to do that. Then someone fires back at me, and I fire back at them, and all hell breaks loose,.

That was the end of it-

The end of it for Perry; the beginning of good things to come for Journey. They have moved on, and Perry is on the outside looking in.

Steve had no health problem other than the one in his head. He had no intention of touring. The faux hip problem was an excuse. Now if you and your unscrupulous buddies in crime would like to produce a document that shows that Perry has had hip replacements, let's see it. Otherwise, hush up.

While the hip thing can be debated, I agree with Yak that it was an excuse as Perry did not intend to tour.
One thing that I feel no reasonable person could question is that Journey gave Perry ample time--1 and 3/4 years or so--to let them know whether he had any intention of returning at all.
