What we DO know, is that Perry is being compensated for his involvement in Journey. Also, we DO know that Perry let the band continue. And he did so without a lawsuit. We DO know that Journey and Perry came to a legal and binding agreement which allowed Journey to continue. What we can "assume" from that, is that his "Don't break the stone" convictions were not so strong that Perry stopped Journey from continuing.

We can all assume whatever supports our point of view on the situation. There's nothing in the few facts that we know to support a negative assumption of Steve's motives. That sounds a whole lot like the sort of "laying the negativity between the lines" that you ascribed to Lori. All of our posts are going to be slanted toward our personal points of view. That's what messageboard debates are all about isn't it?

I don't condone trolls, but at some point you have to realize that even if you don't start the flaming, by responding to it, you only feed the trolls. And then, it appears, your emotions get the best of you and you come out with some extremely offensive verbage. I can handle cuss words, but between the cuss words and the abusive personal attacks that I see, I think it's a bit much. And when it takes on that tone, it isn't contributing to the forum in a good way. At least not in my opinion...which I grant you, may not be worth much.

Again, in no way do I condone that there are people here whose sole purpous is to instigate and flame without contributing anything substantial.
