I love The Place in Your Heart, and the way Steve sings it. The song rocks, and it's very radio friendly, and the whole album is amazing. It's the best Journey has put out in a very long time. Enjoy listening to it, and be sure to report back.

Any plans to attend a concert? You won't be disappointed.

Hold your horses Deano (BTW, "Damn glad to see ya son") this just in:

Journey
Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, Prior Lake, MN
Thu, Dec 1, 2005 07:30 PM

It is listed on ticket sites and on the Mystic Lake site. So Augerilvr has a very good chance of seeing the band in her neck of the woods!

That Minnes"oda" stop is not concrete yet, although for her, I hope it is..Why would the band go out of their way to Southern Canada? I can see the Woodlands(Houston stop), but a casino show? Perhaps it is one of those millionaire guys paying for the services to make up to his wife, because he did something wrong?

Thanks for the kind words 28....

I am just mad because I didn't get to respond to the "arrested" topic...

There is NO Way I believe that story...If that is true, I can believe that an elephant can tie his tail around a daisy on the side of a cliff, and not fall off....

That dude is "out there."

Actually I have only been to two Journey concerts so far.I have only liked them for about 4or5 years.I knew about them before then, but wasn't big into them until a few years ago. Both times I have seen them have been with Augeri.I have never seen Perry.Sorry.Thanks for the tip on the concert at Mystic Lake Casino for December.Actually the first time I saw them was at the Xcel center here in Saint Paul and the second time was actually at Mystic Lake Casino.Lol. Both times were wonderful concerts.Augeri blows my mind.I really like him.I will never bash Perry because I like him too.I just think his time is over.God wants him to do something else.Sorry other Journey pals, that's just my opinion. But the album Generations will be in my hands tomorrow.I have been waiting for it since I found out.Was dissapointed when they changed the release date the first time.Oh,well.I will post again after I listen to it.If anyone is interested there is a Generations review on here that someone posted.Read it.I thought it was good and informative.

Sounds like you have the right perspective. We wish Perry still had the goods and would do some more solo stuff. Maybe he will surprise us.

I really shouldn't say this, but.............
I just got my hands on a Journey Boot from the 80's..a show at the Fabulous Forum, and Perry was beyond words...totally amazing....

I have seen him perform for 12 shows total....I NEVER saw him have an "off night." I did see him forget the words to Ask the Lonely, but he used the next verse and I bet no one noticed either...

He was the best singer of all time..I don't care what anyone says.....

I don't care what you mean.
The Perryheads here don't buy your sincerity act one bit even if it is genuine.
You've trashed the man too vitriollically, way too many times.

Rock'ndeano wrote:I have never heard a better singer live or studio in my life....

The fact that Perry is one of the all time vocal greats doesn't need repeating. All Journey fans know this. Everytime you sing the man's praises it sounds factitous, as if you are trying so-hard to convince Loons that you really like the guy. As I said above, cater to them all u want. They all firmly think you hate his guts by now anyhow.

Rock'ndeano wrote:After reading a weeks posts by you, I am starting to think of you as a Loon too....

Based on what?
I've posted more Journey-related material here in a week then you have in months. Unlike yourself, I don't cut n' run every time the stress of the world gets too great for me. You're like the Steve Perry of this board, man...always heading for the hills.

Fuck You, TNC..I don't see your sorry ass down in the Gulf. Don't ever tell me I'm a pussy.

By the way, who made you Pope of this Board?

PS, now that WE are at war, I can't believe you actually backed off on buying a CD to save a dollar or two.. That is pathetic...

You have no credibility talking down to me...I NEVER talked down to you..oh, but a good fight is a welcoming I cherish...

By the way, two more things...

I can care less what the Heads think..I don't engage them anylonger....in fact, I won't engage you either....

Secondly, Have YOU ever seen Perry live? I have..... I wonder just how many on here have? You have shitforbrains.....

The fact of the matter is your actions on this forum belie ur statements. You flee this board time and time again upon facing even the slightest of criticism from ur peers. And don't say you don't because you've done it repeatedly.

I NEVER toot my own horn dude....but if you want to debate, let's debate...

I DO have stress....Granted, I asked for it..I thought I was doing some good..The only thing I wanted to get out of going to the South was a better me..Hopefully that will happen.

I graduated college....have you? And I never needed to smoke the hippie lettuce neither...

Bring it....

I came back to have an enjoyable time..YOU need meds....You have provoked me into a brawl, and everyone here knows I can't resist that.

No Dave.....

See, I am the Steve perry of this board..I run for the Hills..

Gang up on TNC week? I think it's deserved.....If NIG gets pissed, then to me, it's probably justified..

If you go back, and read the sentence that initiated this whole thing, TNC had to be a smart ass and say that I wasn't fooling the Loons...I wasn't even thinking of the Loons.....

Whatever..I am done with him....

HEY! I can't buy the CD right now either! Do you know how bad it feels when you cannot even afford to buy a new CD by your favorite band? It sucks!! But we live in America, where anything can happen, including your spouse being out of work for 6 months! And things can happen at any time, like her losing her job just TWO DAYS before we bought our house! Life sucks sometimes. But you have NO IDEA WHY TNC could not buy the CD right now!

Irrelevant.

You sound like a square.
I didn't know "Generations" was available for gramophone, grandad.

No I didn't. I stated very simply that everytime you openly profess your undying love for Perry it comes off insincere, as if u r trying to placate the Perryheads. That's my opinion, deal with it.

My question is "WHY"? You were basically accusing Deano of "faking it", the you clarified it to say that 'even if he means it it sounds fake'. What was the point?

I stated that the people Deano ostensibly is trying to cater too (Perrypeople) already have their minds made up about Dean anyways.
So why waste his breath?

jrnyman28 wrote: the you clarified it to say that 'even if he means it it sounds fake'. What was the point?

Every time he professes his love for Perry it sounds as if he is trying to counter all his expletive filled condemnations against the man. It just sounds so completely polar opposite to what he normally says about Perry that it sounds like placating.
The point was, true Journey fans understand that we all love Perry here, so why the need to keep re-iterating that? As if to hammer it home and try to "sell" one's admiration for the man?

Again, true Journey fans understand that we all love Perry here, so why waste one's breath?

How do you KNOW who I was trying to placate? How is saying seeing Perry live was awesome, "professing undying love?"

Dude, I saw Perry..I just made a simple comment about it. Then I am accused of running to the hills.. Uh, on second thought, why should I leave, because of you? lol...

And by the way, no, I never went to the Lori school of debate..I am not NIG...and I don't run from arguments.

I believe I asked you a question, TNC..Have you ever seen Perry?

I can see that point, but I still don't see why you needed to make it. If the Perry-onlies wanted to call him on it then OK. But you called him on it. Remember how you felt when you thought people had 'turned their back' on you? You just did the same thing to Deano...

The_Noble_Cause wrote:Again, true Journey fans understand that we all love Perry here, so why waste one's breath?

Everything we 'discuss' on this board is just about a 'waste of bandwidth'! We have the same arguments day in and day out. The arguments you have had with those you refer to as "loons" has been repeated damn near verbatem at times. Don't dictate what is a waste of bandwidth...please.

What don't YOU understand? I am NOT trying to cater to anyone...

I got a boot today...heard it..Thought is was awesome..And you have to nitpick every Goddamned thing...

I don't care about the Heads..I don't care about you either..I am not trying to cater to anyone.

Any moderate showering of encomia coming from you seems uncharacteristic.
Your tirades against the man are usually so thoroughly seething.

It's not an accusation. It's a fact. You've left and come back repeatedly now. In fact, I'd wager you have done more false farewells then Kiss and Cher combined.

Hey Cause, I think I'm one of those Perrypeople, and I like Dean. I may not agree with everything he says, but I think he's a good guy. He just gets carried away sometimes. Sort of like you do, just in a different language .
