Of course they wouldn't be too happy about an act that showcases Perry-era songs and brings out the tails... I bet they see it as something that just riles up the crowd against them.

What a genius post

Retard. How are Journey all "butthurt?" They're the ones making cd's and touring, and making money.

Thanks jeremey. I wanted to check to see if you guys still had some live CDs for sell. I have enjoyed watching you guys perform and should have purchased a CD during the concert ( I humble apologize! :) )

They ARE sore about what Steve Perry did to them. This isn't about them touring, retard. It's about them being all pissy because they want people to forget about Steve Perry being in the band and things like tribute bands are a "nuisance" when it comes to that.

Don't think so. I personally think at least 3 members are happier..I'll leave it at that.

I think you both have a point, Fire Inside and Deano...I think that maybe Journey does see themselves as moving on and tribute shows continue to represent the past days of Journey and their line ups. But I also think that the 3 remaining members of the Escape lineup are much happier without Perry. I don't think the aspect of representing the older Journey lineup irritates the band as much as it seems like there is more the "this is our music, no one should go out there and try to do this because it waters down what we do, and no one else can do justice to it."

I think that's wrong on a couple of fronts, though .

I could see why they wouldn't appreciate more attention being drawn to Perry through the use of the tails, not saying you shouldn't do that, but that I can see why they, current Journey, wouldn't care for it.
However, I do think they should appreciate anyone caring enough about their music to be out their playing it, and shouldn't take the "our music" attitude.

It's my understanding that Neal's laid-back, perhaps a little bemused by tribute bands.
Cain made the "nuisance" remark. Not sure why but he is sensitive and touchy. Particularly regards to the internet....

Cain strikes me as being a little thin-skinned and I'm guessing that can wear on you in the music business.
