Bill Clinton did.. At least he told me he did.
Slick Willy felt a lot of things...

Who are you referring to, Cinton was a democrat....Rock'ndeano wrote:The_Noble_Cause wrote:Clinton sucks.

If you really want to throw your vote away, go for it. I would take a bad Dem over a sleazy, incompetent, corrupt republican.

The TRUTH on this subject is something noone on this board knows and not all the zealots are of the Perry persuasion.
The man had health issues, you have to acknowledge that unless you want to call Jon and Smitty liars too. It would appear that Steve didn't feel as driven to perform through his discomfort as Lou Grahm or that Motley Crue guy. That's OK, it's his life. HIS LIFE, not ours and not Journey's, to live as is right for him.
(see TNC, I found all kinds of keys and buttons)

Exactly ohsherrie! Perry did what was RIGHT FOR HIM!!!

Except he tried to hold Neal and Jon off while doing it.
There were more people to consider than just himself...

I know that Lori and so do all of his fans, but it's best to just let it go. There's no way to win because none of us really knows what happened. As long as there's any room for doubt and conjecture it's just a losing battle. We know what we feel is right and they have their interpretation of things. There's noone here to tell us what the real story is, so we'd just be arguing unto oblivion.

If your are told you need hip surgery, the present problem already has to be pretty severe. Waiting around 2 to 3 years more would be unbearable, not to mention unwise, and would cause excruciating pain, not to mention more damage. It's inconceivable that somebody could wait that long for treatment; there obviously is more to the story than what's been told. There's some reason why the guys are gagged from talking about it.
So nobody wants to deal in facts, eh?
If Mick Mars can go out and do what he's doing.....anybody can. That guy is an inspiration to anybody who wants to say "I can't."

Excuse me? Where are your FACTS? I just see speculation/your spin on the situation. How you would react? Everyone is different. Fear of surgery keeps many from going under the knife. I am from the medical field and know that I would agonize (and have) over surgery based on the horrible anesthesia accidents I have seen alone. Who knows
But as far as the gag order? I never got the impression that had to do with medical issues....something else

Maybe it's because Perry's voice was too polarizing - either you love it or hate it.

Maybe it is because the commercial nature of Perry's music (as he took more and more control) continued to lose credibility among the music industry?

I don't get the whole commercial success being a bad thing argument. Bono is a sellout 5 times more than Journey or Perry were...

Neither do I. And until recently, none of the aforementioned bands in that category had "sold out" at all. It's the most laughable excuse, and yet....they all got tagged with it.
Nowadays, I don't blame any of them for taking corporate offers. At least it gives the music a shot at being heard.
