OT....writing a column and need your opinions

Postby OpeningAct » Fri Oct 28, 2005 11:44 pm

I'm writing my bi-monthly column and would wondering if you guys/gals could help out. I want to know how the sports fans, not in the area, view the sports scene in Boston.
I'd love to hear your opinions of the state of the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, Boston sports fans in general, as well as what your opinion is on Boston sports personalities (ie. Manny, Brady, Schilling....extc.)
I'll just be using your screen name and more importantly, the state you are from.
I think it would be an interesting column and I'll throw up the link when it comes out for all of you to read.
Thanks in advance.

Can't stand any of the teams or their fans.
Especially the manager of the Red Sox. Oh and Francona, too.

OA, you might not find a lot of usable input here. Contrary to what Bostonians believe, Boston sports are not the epicenter of the athletic universe.

Ah, the old jealousy angle. No thanks, I'll not be your fodder for that Joe.

One of US's greatest distance runners ever.

Well then write something Deeno, that's the idea of the column, to get non-Bostonian view....
Have a go at it...in your words.

Don't worry Andrew...I won't give this flea any more ammo..( nipping this in the bud now).

A good writer doesn't EVER ask for help. It's a pride thing. Try RESEARCH. Try getting in your car and driving across the nation and talk to people at live events..What a concept!

Naw, sit at home and ask "the pathetic people at a dinosaur band site"-your words, not mine.

Bye OA

Hi Joe,

This was a great idea to try to get Journey message posters involved in your story. I'd contribute to your story; however, I live in the Boston area.

Some of the people here don't realize that the Red Sox and Patriots have legions of fans throughout the United States. Also, many people are happy to see a team win a championship for the first time in a long time (Red Sox, White Sox) instead of one team seeming to always win (Yankees, Steelers, Lakers, Canadiens).

Your can use my information in your article.

I enjoy your articles too!

I told JR most of us outside the James River valley could give a damn.
