General question for everyone in here: Which countries have moved their clocks back one hour this past weekend? Is this U.S.-centric or what?
No we haven't - actually with John Howard's Government we're turning the clock back about 50 years, especially with education!!

Daylight saving time also ended in Holland this weekend. It gets dark really early now... yesterday the sun already seemed to be setting at 4 pm. :(

Isn't there something with Maine and daylight saving time, that Maine is/was in a different timezone than the rest of the country? Can't remember what it was exactly.

I don't know about Maine, but Arizona and most (but not all) of Indiana don't observe Daylight Saving Time. Strange.

Since the U.S. Congress decided to extend DST in 2007, I guess the rest of the countries observing will follow? This is my country's energy conservation plan? (Way to go, W!)

*pours a glass of Droe Rooi for SnakeLady*

BTW, is there an English translation for that name? I used a web translation engine for Dutch to English and it gave me "Droe dig up."

I didn't think energy conservation was the reason we have DST... from what I understood we have it because without DST the sun starts to rise in summer at 4 am and that that is thought to be much too early.

Droe dig up??? That sounds tasty... The literal translation would be 'Dry Red'. In Dutch it's called 'Droge Rode, or Droge Rooie'. :)

I despise Daylight Savings Time. Maine legislature has been spinning the idea of abolishing it and keeping us in Atlantic time. If it ends up on a future referrendum, I'm voting for it! Give me back my afternoon sunlight!!!!!

Jonny, timeshifts confuse me so I may be wrong, but when DST gets abolished it would get dark in the afternoon earlier, wouldn't it? The clock goes backward one hour so 8 pm would be called 7pm... :?

The only people I know who like Bumblefoot are guitar players. Funny that. :D

I'd like some sort of cocktail tonight. Something fruity. Maybe a Fruit Tingle.

Still not feeling okay? :( Keep your back and neck warm and take many, many hot showers is all I can advise... and a massage might help too!

I've been very busy today with getting the new laundry dryer installed... I thought it would be no problem at all, but it turned out to be a sequence of troubles to get it connected. But I've persisted and it's finally working! :D
