You caught me in a rare mood. I will explain.
Thank you.
Rock'ndeano wrote:On a message board, I cannot see the person, or people I am talking to. Throw in a lot of passion, some growing anger, a feeling of bitterness, more anger, and the emotion just flows from my fingertips. I would never speak to anyone here face to face the way I do here..I would never show so much hostility, however, being that you cannot "read" emotion from typed words, expletives are used from my side of the monitor....
I understand but I do not agree. There are other words that can be used and there are emoticons (as you have had some fun with). That's just me. I like to believe that I would act the same face to face as I do here. I htink people "know me" pretty well based on my actions and words online. I do understand where you are coming from though.
Rock'ndeano wrote:I don't enjoy going off on people, it's just sometimes when someone says something stupid, like Angie barked out last night, she needed an ass whippin, and got it.....
Now I must admit that "enjoyment" is a tough call...but
sometimes it
does appear that you enjoy posting the way you do. Either way, I always chalk it up to passion, which I commend.
Rock'ndeano wrote:Sorry 28, nothing wrong at all with what Neal said...That particular Head was baiting him..were you there? I was, but strangely, I was afraid to get involved..I have really "grown" in my aggressiveness over the last year or so on message boards...
I agree that Neal was provoked. I agree that he responded in kind, and true to his nature. But I believe outbursts like that hurt the band and that is why I don't think Neal should be the spokesperson for the band.
Rock'ndeano wrote:All of this could have been aleviated if perry would have come public, made a statement or two, and not had lied to us...I don't want to rehash the entire ordeal, but I believe Perry stayed out of the way, and let the band battle it out with his fans doing the work for him..
I agree with this as well. I am unsure whether Perry stays "quiet" in the hopes it would all go away, or to purposely let the fight continue, but some form of statement from Perry would surely have smoothed the way for Journey. It is obvious IMO that Perry would do no such thing.
Rock'ndeano wrote:One more point 28,
Don't you wish that people wouldn't bullshit you so much?
I think I get straight-shooting most of the time. But cutting through the bullshit can still happen without certain behaviours or language. Yes, I wish there was less Bullshit.
Rock'ndeano wrote: Take W...don't you wish when he is caught in a lie, or recently fucked up, that he would just come on the TV and say, "hehehe, I messed up...sorry, I will concentrate on doin' better next time."
Not going there. I stay out of political discussions altogether... But we all know it would be political suicide for a politician at ANY level to "tell the truth".
Rock'ndeano wrote:What is the problem with TRUTH?
I have no problem with the truth and I believe yours and others. But delivery makes many people not listen. How do you expect to get through to someone when they will not listen?
I thank you for your post. I appreciate the manner and the explanation.
No problems here!
