Well what they have to do with each other is only the rather obvious - neither band is currently a going concern.

It seems rather churlish (but sadly true to type) to add a :lol:

when one of your favourite bands is in the same boat - almost. Nightwish have perhaps a greater chance of further progress in the near future, however, that is counterBALANCEd by the fact that they have yet to taste the kind of mega-success achieved by VH.

I'm not taking anything personally, however, I do get tired of you (and to be fair, 1 or 2 others) dogging on Van Halen, whilst employing a kind of ingorance coupled with vague hypocrisy - I suppose the positive in this instance is that at least it's not happening in their forum.

Not too much more annoying than people who don't even like a band going to their sites or forums just to drop shit on 'em......I'm sure everyone could agree on that.

Hello all! It's been a while! We've been spending some time in the South West... more beautiful scenery. After that we went off to relax and warm up a bit in Broome. Over there we had the most laidback cab driver ever to bring us to our apartment... groovy! :lol:

We ate some camel (tasted quite good actually!), visited a sports bar with skimpies and had another relaxing experience with the stargazing tour at night.
Not even a full week of holiday left... time has flown...

Kenny, I didn't mean to start anything with the Van Halen comment, I was just posting that regarding the "rankings" here. I know you didn't ask, but..... (LOL) To me, Van Halen is one of the best rock bands!! It makes me sick that they were overlooked to be inducted this year again for the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. They are/were very influential to many of the rock/hair bands of the 80's. I kind of hope that they will be the next band for the Rock Star show. I would love to see the guys sitting there and making comments, just my opinion

Cheers SMB. I'm just having coffee this morning. Even if you wanted to, I don't think you could go back and read everything. There have been a few crashes and a few deletions. Don't get me wrong, Kenny isn't an asshole all the time. A lot of the time he's ok. He just has these Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde moments when he goes off. Those times are not pretty.

For the new people - last year a troll started a hate thread about me, which was rightfully deleted by Andrew......the ONLY regular here who joined in??? That's right, sports fans, Miss 'Programmed veneer of reality herself' Penny......THAT is truth.

Now I may well occasionally have a little 'Jekyll and Hyde' in me, particularly when I've been drinking too much, (I have learnt to admit my faults) but I'm certainly not a nasty and devious piece of work 100% of the time, and I ain't dumber than a sackful of hammers either!! :lol:

Nor have I assaulted someone recently and then brought it to this board like a boast.....but she makes it sound as if that's something I'd do doesn't she, sports fans?? Guess again.....who was that person?? No prizes for a correct answer!!

Anyway, no-one and nothing is gonna bring me down, not even someone who has been mind-fucked to project their illness and trauma onto others....a few more days and then my lovely girl and I are off to the Gold Coast after a few days over Christmas with our families.....it's gonna be lovely to have a long break.

I'm just new posting on the Rant section, I read all the sections, but post mostly on the Styx forum and sometimes Journey. So I take it Penny didn't support you on that thread? I personally don't agree with a "hate" thread, we have enough of that with the bands and former members, etc.
