No, you absolutely can. It's a free country.

I only argue when I think I'm right..I just am real passionate, that's all.

I admit when I'm wrong..

Thanks for this link PF. This isn't a random opinion. It's what is generally thought, of Journey, by anyone who ever knew the band when it had substance. :D

They have more than ever, HOTS. You just have to open your mind and ears and listen.

Honestly Nig! It's all too flat, monotonous, and what ever happened to melody? AND TOO MUCH GUITAR! All their material flat lines anymore. No hooks. I'm happy for you tho. My expectations for Journey music are much higher.

That's amazing Hots..

You know all this yet you have NEVER listened to Arrival OR Generations!

Hey, if you got a second, can you tell me who you like at Santa Anita tomorrow? I need some money.

Nice comeback, really. Like that's Journey's fault. Name one band in their genre that has a hit?

Besides, I would much rather have Generations, and some of Arrival than those piece of shit ballads Perry put out; ie, O sherrie, Foolish heart, and others.

Look HOTS, this is a rock band. You have professed your love for elevator music. Why don't you waddle over to RodfuckingIshitmypantsnightlywhenIsleepstewart.com, and salivate...

You need to pull your head out of the Goddamned sand.

Seriously, if you can't contribute without being a fucking retard, put your head back into the sand..You're better not heard than heard.

Yo RND,

There is absolutely NO point in arguing with ohsherrie, but I'm sure you figured that out and you probably do it for fun these days:)

Here's a case in point:

Either you worship at the altar of anything with the name Journey(except the Perry part) and crucify Perry for any and everything, or your opinion is without merit.

See, this kind of stupidity and hypocrisy is the kind of thing that causes the arguments to continue. Not only that, but I marvel at the audacity she has to actually make a statement like that when it has been HER and her ilk that actually CREATED THAT RULE! There is/was NO middle ground at all. For a number of years, I (along with many others) was harrassed on a daily basis, ridiculed endlessly and all the rest that goes with that because I felt that BOTH Journey AND Steve Perry had a right to exist and I was "stupid" enough to wish them both WELL on the VH1 board! That was never okay with ohsherrie, ohperry, ohgerry and/or ohmary! It was "You're either for Perry or your against him (if you like today's Journey) - there's NO middle ground!"

I LOVE this:
OK, got it. No opinions that might sound a bit controversial allowed...

Huh? What? You mean if someone says something that is considered controversial where Perry is concerned, it should be allowed?! No way...shut up. :)

just cheerleading(Oooooh I love this Gens song don't you? Oooooooh, wasn't Neal's riff great on that one? Ooooooooh, wasn't that show great? Oooooooh didn't Jon tear that keyboard up? Ooooooh Dean's the best drummer Journey ever had and he sings sooooo good. Oooooooh Auggie's so great we can forget the man that put Journey on the charts.)

Like ohsherrie was ever a cheerleader for Journey anyway. That's a good one. The reality is that a few are here to cheerlead for one person and one person only and that person is no longer in Journey.

It's funny how some in this winless war of words continue to believe that it is their job to find new ways to bash Journey. Apparently, it's their only reason for living.

I agree with you that the only reason this thread was started was to bash Journey, under the guise of it being "Isn't this a shame?" however no one here is stupid enough to fall for that because of the past record of the person making the post.

Seems the only people who are unwilling to admit that are the three (or four) people who are stupid enough to believe that the rest of us are stupid enough to believe it.

It goes on and on and on and on...

Fun though, isn't it? :)

You're not referring to pitch here, are ya?

monotonous, and what ever happened to melody?

Monotonous? Lacking melody? What ARE you listening to?!!

AND TOO MUCH GUITAR!

It's a guitar-oriented band sweety...think of Escape, Frontiers, Trial By Fire - all heavy with guitar. I don't hear you complaining about those. Your complaint stems from one thing and one thing only - Perry is not in Journey anymore. That's not Neal's fault. Steve made that decision all by himself.

All their material flat lines anymore. No hooks.

No hooks? Flatlines? There are plenty of hooks, in each song. Not sure what you're listening to...

I'm happy for you tho. My expectations for Journey music are much higher.

Funny, but to me Generations is ALL Journey. In fact, I bet if Steve Perry were singing lead on every song and absolutely nothing was changed on each song, you and your friends would probably think that this is the best music Journey ever produced!

It's Journey music all the way and dangit - it's GOOD!! :)

When is Perry putting out a new CD? Oh...sorry...forgot. That's right, he said he's thinking about it. Good, then when he's 70, maybe he'll put some words to music and belt it out for his fans then.

I kid you...I kid you...Steve Perry is doing what he loves and enjoying his life immensely, unlike some of his fans.

I HAVE to say Fed, O sherrie is not as bad as the real hardlining out of control Freakizoid Heads..

Sherrie and I actually have a relationship..I did send her Gens and Arrival, and she admitted publicly that they were good.

As for the other Yentas, fuck em. They are beyond help. As for the other screaming Yentas, I offered them free burned cd's..I am sorry Neal and Jon for this offer..I wasn't thinking. Why in God's good name should I rip off the band to send cd's to people who won't listen anyway?

I didn't.

I plan on talking to Neal in february about this bullshit....

I'm glad for you that you have experienced a better situation with our dear, sweet ohshittie...I'm sorry...I mean ohsherrie (jeez, what WAS I thinking with that?). As far as I'm concerned, she led the charge over at VH1 and never let up. She has never apologized for any of it even though she supposed now sees things from both sides of the aisle. The best she can do is preach at me and tell me what I should be doing while I'm here on this board. Huh?

She's an asswipe and IF she has finally come around to appreciating Journey, good for her, but I could absolutely care less and I personally don't really believe it.

The few times I visited in the past year without posting told me everything I needed to know about ohsherrie and her PMS buds.

Sherrie and I actually have a relationship..I did send her Gens and Arrival, and she admitted publicly that they were good.

That's swell, but you'll have to excuse me if I decide to point out her lies and hypocrisy at every turn because that's exactly what it is and believe me, her reasoning (if you can call it that) is consistently full of holes. I enjoy pointing out the obvious where she is concerned.

She's here for one reason and one reason only.

.......................................

The proof in in the eating of the pudding and few are eating the pudding so the proof is that the new Journey material is not at all up to the standards that a Journey fan should expect from this band that at one time ruled. Schon is sucking the life out of what's left of Journey.
