Minus one very brief keyboard part, they really sound nothing alike.

Easily one of the best rockers Perry's ever done.

The 'Heads love that sugary nonsense.
Sngrck- I could've sworn that'd be right up your alley.

I'm probably the only person on this board that likes Believe. I think it's about 2 minutes too long, yeah, but I like the song. I'm probably the only one who likes Castles Burning, too... I also like All The Things. It's one of the 4 Arrival songs I like...

I HATE 'ONE MORE'. That's #1 on my CD. And probably:

Line Of Fire
People and Places
Butterfly
Out of Harms Way
City of the Angels
Kohoutek (it's not really a bad song but I dislike it)
most of Arrival
tracks 7-10 on TBF
Positive Touch
La Raza Del Sol (really do not like that one)
Homemade Love

Yeah, I forgot All the Way. Yuck. I disagree with Gone Crazy. Forget it's Journey, put it on a mix CD with VH and ZZTop, and it is cool.

I like Loved By You. Simple, solid ballad.

Ding Ding DIng!!!! No, you're not. I'm also a "Believe"r. One bad-ass tune. Butterfly to me is sweet, one of the sweetest songs of the Augeri era IMO. Hard to piegonhole it as a ballad b/c of the idiosynchracies of the song (which is good) but it's definately provacative for me.

Yes, incredible energy from the crowd. I'm usually all for mixing up the set, but I think they should open every show with SW. From the keyboard intro, the rest of the band coming in, then Augeri belting out "Here we stand..." to the "No-ooo"s at the end, awesome, perfect beginning to a show.

One more here that happens to like Believe, I'm with NIG, I don't love, but I do like it. I also think Butterfly is a pretty cool song, nothing wrong with that.

No way. I kinda subscribe to NIG's theory on the avatar. Sticking by it. Suite makes a point though. When TheCause had the Perry with the cat one, and it stayed up for a while, I started to subliminally think it was a real picture of the cause.

It means I'm funny or try to be funny. I love humor and I have it up there because I feel the current Styx reminds me of Spinal Tap. To me, it's funny.

I had "hot" guys up, but I had a few PM's about it from few of the guys - LOL Jealously of the "hot" guys I guess - LOL

Hey Ray....8)

You are right, my friend....

I actually dug it out today and played it during my lunch hour.....I WILL STAND by my opinion on the following songs:

1. MOL - Sorry guys - to my ears, it's a "SW" redux in a minor key.

2. OM - Don't like the guitar in it.

3. WYLAW - His vibrato is just AWFUL!! - "In my life, I've seen where I've be-ee-ee-ee-n..." ACK....plus it's boring.

4. IHSBYH - Boredom in a "4/4" meter.

5. FIB - Don't like his voice....that "air intake" sound ruins it for me.

6. CB - He sounds PSYCHOTIC.

7. DBDOMB - Too slow...the strings put me to sleep.

8. SSC - Well, the guitar intro is beautiful....

9. WITOY - It's a song about his mother, so Props for that....otherwise....yawn....

10. BI-ALY - Let's hear it for the "White Boy Reggae"!

11. IJTR - I REEEEALY want to like this song....but it's that VIBRATO thing again!! If he just tightened it up a bit, it would be AMAZING....

12. ETF....Huh? oh....almost forgot this one.....nah....
_________________________________________________

But, there ARE 3 songs I do like:

1. COTS - Was Steve having a "good-voice day"?? Seriously - the song composition; how his voice SOARS in the melody....especially on the ending sustained phrase:

"We are many / we are WOOOOO-OOOOONNNNNE.....WO-O-O-O-O-O-ONNE..."

I sat there shaking my head on THAT one....how can he HIT A HOME RUN (vocally) on this track - and the ones mentioned above sound like hell?!

2. CTTL - Nice "nod" to the "Halcyon Days" of Journey, IMO....almost expect Steve to yell, "THANK YOU - GOOD NIGHT!!" at the end

3. TBF - WOW.....great Strat-Guitar work from Neal; great lyrics.....but I noticed, NO KEYBOARDS....was Jon strumming acoustic rhythm on this track? It's there...

Best Journey ballad, IMO..Strings are beautiful

Agreed

5. FIB - Don't like his voice....that "air intake" sound ruins it for me
.

Yeah, embarrassing weezing

6. CB - He sounds PSYCHOTIC.

I like his crazed sound..the song needs that

8. SSC - Well, the guitar intro is beautiful....

Yeah his voice struggles here..I love the tune, Perry is awful here

9. WITOY - It's a song about his mother, so Props for that....otherwise....yawn....

Cain can fart these types of songs out on his way to the betting window at Golden Gate. Enough of this crap boys.

10. BI-ALY - Let's hear it for the "White Boy Reggae"!

Neal OWES Perry an ass-kicking for even allowing this piece of shit onto ANYTHING Journey labeled.

2. CTTL - Nice "nod" to the "Halcyon Days" of Journey, IMO....almost expect Steve to yell, "THANK YOU - GOOD NIGHT!!" at the end

This is one of Journey's better rock songs...Kicks major ass.

3. TBF - WOW.....great Strat-Guitar work from Neal; great lyrics.....but I noticed, NO KEYBOARDS....was Jon strumming acoustic rhythm on this track? It's there...

According to "your ears", Perry also hit high notes perfectly when he sang DSB in Chicago (he didn't).
You also claim that Perry is singing backup on "It's All that Really Matters" (he's not).
You're ears are leading you astray in this case, as well.
Other than a minor keyboard part, MOL is not Separate Ways.
I really think you should seek an otologist at once.

If you're gonna allocate blame, allocate it equally.

I think the writing on TBF is just fine.
