Steve Perry is NOT a Hollaback Girl!

Postby Jeremey » Sat Dec 17, 2005 10:41 am

Good holy crap. Just lurking around SmegTalk and found Steve Perry's Celebrity Playlist on iTunes. It confirms some of my worst fears. Why would ANY SANE PERSON have "Hot In Herre" on their list of favorite tracks?!? I am going to back away from the computer and eat some jambalya this evening and take some time to get over this horrifying news. Good night, and good luck.

He likes Hot in Herre because he's a perverted old guy. Didn't you see at Fan Asylum his other passion is "kissing" and he likes to "stare at beautiful girls and tell them how lovely they look"? Of course he'd like a song about taking off all your clothes.

I'm frankly more concerned about Hey Ya, because no sane person can possibly not be tired of that song by now. And the way he worded his love for Gwen Stefani is also strange, but it goes along with the perverted theme.

Well I wouldn't mind a perverted handsome old man liking those songs.
I could go for it. LOL!

Jeremy, please tell me I was on a boatload of Percocet and heard you say Perry had the band do a fucking Rick Astley cover in Jokelahoma?

If that is true, I might just get the Hell out of this now. IF Neal allowed this, he will hear about this in February, when I am sitting across from him munching teriyaki Chix..

I made that part up! It would have been funny if it had happened though.

Hot in Here is a good song my weekend band plays it and the crowds always dance. I'd rather be doing something else, but there are far worse newer songs than that one.

That's pretty funny Jeremey! I had just gotten a copy of that concert so I was thinking "no way, I gotta listen for this"! Got through it, didn't hear it, thought if it was true then I did not get the whole concert. :D

LOL, and just think, you impersonate that fag! You should break into a medly of Hollabachgirl, Hey Ya, and one of his other gay tunes...show the crowd a real life Perry moment.

Some of the things that have come out of Perry during some of those Q&As and other fan-centric interviews have sounded downright strange. I really don't think he knows how odd he sounds when he says things like that. Imagine a Peter Lorre voice saying, "yes, and i like to stare at all the beautiful girls and tell them how lovely they look."

Woah.....! Its all about the songs, yeah I'm singing them as Steve Perry sang them but I'm not up there talking like him or pretending to be him or anything....It'd be great to just start prancing around stage going "b-a-n-a-n-a-n-a-s! Let me hear ya people!" just to see what the audience would do.
