Now I know why Deens voice is shot?

When he does backup vox on In Self Defence, he nearly busts a nut.

Makes you respect what Perry did for those 6 years of endless touring....

However, perhaps if Deen is going to sing, he should start practicing as one, if he isn't already..

The band sounds amazing live....damn!

Sounds exactly like I remember the Greek to be like..the crowd drowns out the band on Faithfully..magical..

Augeri said in an interview that he was giving Deen tips on preserving his voice. Augeri said Deen can just hit the stage with no warming-up required. Perhaps Deen should join Steve in warming-up before a show.

Eric is kicking ass for sure! Thank you so much, bro.

My first thought on the Generations boot was 'it sounds like it was recorded in a bottle'...but that cleared up. And as cool as it is to hear, it got me wondering if shows are SO MUCH better in person. I know when I went to the show Steve sound completely amazing...but on this boot he doesn't sound as good to me. I have not listened to the whole thing yet, just got to Feeling That Way/Anytime. So glad to hear Higher Place on here! But can you hear the guy talking during it? Steve still sounds best singing "his" songs.

Now, my question is, what did Red cough up?

Got a new Journey show to day from San fran. 12'29'98. Will give it a listen here in a few as we drive over to Blytheville Ark. to look at Christmas lights. Working on a trade (hopefuly)of a dvd show of Journey, one with Perry and One with Augeri, plus a Styx Edge show. I'll let you know how that goes. Still working out the details of a 3 cd Generations show-ERIC

I have a bunch of Augeri era shows on video. From this tour only one, but the taper won't let me trade it. Plenty of stuff from all the other tours though.

The Greek has supplanted Biloxi '02 as the best JRNY boot I own. What a stinkin' masterpiece of illegal pirating of a show. All: Ed hooked me up, Deano's now got it and we're gonna be circulating it from there. If you get 1 boot, get this one. Got the full Pre-Perry set, the Gens material and crazy good mix up of the rest of the set. A Deen voc, a Ross voc....

I disagree.

The recording or recorder you could tell was air drumming a lot..ISD and TPIYH sounds really muffled but who's complaining?

Augeri sounds terrible on the end of Stone in Love on BOTH boots 13..

Christ, Rock. Not every boot is a goddamn soundboard quality live album. You're tough to please man.
Plus I thought TPIYH was crystal clear. All were plenty audible for my ears. till they start putting out live records or a roadie leaks a soundboard what choice do we have?

Nope, you always bitch about a tape hiss here, or a clap there or some due yelling here (probably YOU in the case of the Greek!!!! Fucked up your own boot.).

Audience records are what they are.

That's what I can't figure. I think Biloxi's got it all over Albany, sound and setlist. Go figure. Albany's sound is still very good for an audience record though....
