I have two albums that I can't decide between for AOTY... One is Masterplan - Aeronautics, the other one is Opeth

Aeronautics was okay...wouldn't make my top 10 though...the Opeth cd on the other hand is fucking brilliant.....i really liked The Mars Volta-Frances the Mute as my other contender.

My AOTW goes to Lillian Axe "Love & War." It's rare, and it rocks! :D

AOTW is by a band called "Orphan Project". They sound alike Kanasas meets Dream Theater.

I've been listening to Anastacia a lot this week, especially the Anastacia album.

I would have no idea what I would pick as Album Of The Year.

My AOTW goes to Altaria "Divinity." This is one of those 2004 releases that I passed up on but haven't figured out why. Since I heard Jorn Lande on Masterplan, I've been seeking bands who have male singers with a low-to-mid end vocal range. It's a good change from the everyday falsetto that saturates my cd collection.

Do you know any other albums from them? If you don't you must get them... although Blood From Stone might surprise you! But I bet you'll like Calm Before The Storm and Belief!

AOW is Motley Crue-s/t
John Corabi is/was so much better than Vince Neil. This is the only Crue album i can listen to without the cringe factor creeping in.

Vince was a decent studio musician...typical glam fodder. But he absolutely sucks live. Lost his voice by song #2, and was completely drunk before the halfway point.

I'm sticking to Pallas- The Dreams Of Men. When S-Dip and me went to Mostly Autumn we ended up in the bar where they were playing the DVD from Pallas... That set it going. Since they will be coming soon, I decided to take a re-listen to the latest release.... I like it!!!!

You're welcome. Don't worry about finding anything on the list. Chances are no one would be able to find them cheap.

My AOTW goes to Baby Animals "Shaved & Dangerous." (I wouldn't have ever found a copy if it weren't for Doggy. Thanks for the trade!) This is not an easy find in the states, but for good reason. It's a much stronger album than their first.

AOTW goes to Nexx "Colours." I'm pretty psyched that they're finally gonna release a second album.

I wonder what label that 2nd cd gonna release it, Jonny.
ATOW is "S/T" by Icon, old classic hair band from the late 80s.

I believe a new UK label picked them up as their first signing. Angel Milk Records, I think they were called.
