Doubt my wife would come here either but she does have good taste in music for the most part. Journey is first of course.
The only country she likes a lot is Keith Urban.

My wife loves Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban. She is also into dance music (Black Eyed Peas, etc.). Lep is one of the few rock acts she likes.

You'd think with the ballady RF and TM, she'd like Journey somewhat, more than Lep at least.

I am sure that between me playing Journey in the car and on the guitar, I have ruined Journey for her forever.

Show her how good she's had it with hearing Journey, make her listen to some 70s Deep Purple, Led Zep, Velvet Revolver, take her to a Govt Mule show. These are the things my wife feels she suffered through.

the only way this will ever work is if Journey gets away from the
greatest hits thing and plays more songs from red 13 and generations.
who wants to see the same show and set list, other wise def leppard is going to blow them out of the water.
Journey needs to look at some of there inner workings and managemnet and become alittle more fan-conscious. people don;t like to be treated
like crap and I for one would like to see some changes before I spend my money to go see them again,

This tour would be brilliant!!

Both bands are sounding great live and have a similar, but not the same fan base. I didn't think the DL and Bryan Adams tour was going to work, but it was great.

I believe that the problem is that Journey has actually been TOO concerned with what the (casual) fan wants as far as set lists and their expectations of what Journey music should sound like. Most people want to hear the greatest hits, unfortunately, and most want their new music to be Escape II.

I won't like if JRNY opens the show, otherwise, should be a fun night. The fan bases will conflict though, even worse than Foreigner.

Exactly! Journey should have pushed a little more of what they wanted. I do not think they would have lost more fans than they already had.
