...and he almost got away with it.

OYLS and ICHBY as mentioned by TNC are 2 of my favorite ever JRNY tracks, though. 2 of Schon's best pieces of work ever.

It was Happy to Give and he did say Steve was obsessed with it. Maybe that's why it's so beautiful. I like Eyes of a Woman too. But then, I love the whole album.

I think all of their music has been underrated by music critics. I don't think the fans underrate any particular song. We all have such diverse tastes that every song seems to have it's share of fans.

Yeah, you ever notice that the ROR BG vox are layers of Perry's voice, not the other band members? That was a sign of the end right there.

Thats a great point, for the most part I never liked the choir of Perrys. I love the bg of Infiity-Departure in particular with a lot of Gregg in evidence. I like to hear alot of Gregg and/or Neal, the way Neal's voice is more up front than the others on Chain Reaction.

Yeah, that tune is pretty lame. One of the lamest tunes on the lamest Journey album. When you compare it to all the songs Perry has sung, it ranks toward the bottom.

He sings his ass off on every song.But TEOAW was a song about Sherrie,so maybe he put in a little more 'steam'.

Eye's of a woman is one of the best songs on
Raised On Radio well aside from the title track
because that one is just musical mayhem to me!

In today's standards I dunno! I was surprised when Journey was nominated back in the 90's for WYLAW. I mean, it was definitely worthy of it, but I am still very much disgruntled with the state of the music business as it stands today.

Have I responded to this thread? I don't remember. Anyway, what song gets a bad rap - Meaning what do I like that most people don't? For me it would be Positive Touch. Despite the Sax. Gotta love the husk in Perry's voice in the first few lines, and the pristine coda at the end is magic.

I always liked it could have been you for the lyrics and the
sound itself. I guess I could kind o f relate to it.
I never got why they never played it live.
Butterfly and beleive I think are good also.
The 2 songs seem to get ripped apart when the cd got reviewed.
The melody on believe was catchy to me.
