And his too long goldilocks in the WYLAW video make me look away in shame, too.

Jesus, there are so many moments I don't know where to stop.

Of course, he could snap my neck beween his biceps and forearm with one deft flex and that would shut me up.... my man's still in shape.

Oh, there's a TOTAL "Doesn't-he-know-how-he-LOOKS?!" moment in the Houston DVD:

Can't remember where it is, but Steve Smith is doing a drum-solo intro; Espee is yelling for everyone to "CLAP YOUR HANDS!!"...

...so, Jon starts to clap his hands....and he looks like such a DORK!

Not to mention that he's jumping up and down like he's got "Slinky-springs" on his feet...

...Good Lord

How about the Japan concert from 1981 during the "Where Were You" intro, Jon hits his two notes, runs backwards then forwards, two more notes, runs backwards then forwards, etc.

It's all in good fun of course. Which is why I love this forum.

I will jump in on this one...

Another one from the Seperate Ways video - when he is pawing like a cat doing the "air keyboard" deal. Much worse than on the side of the building.

Come to think of it, there isn't anything GOOD about that video for any of them. And what was Perry thinking with that haircut????

Folks, let's keep this thread mature. There is no reason to humiliate Jon this way. Please take your jokes to a more appropriate site.

Let's move this along now.

ROTFLMAO... oh gawd yes... that is a classic moment. I adore Jon, but he really can be a complete dork on stage... I sometimes wonder how a musician can have such a poor sense of rhythm...

MNM, we try to refrain from words such as H*** here at Melodic Rock. Please show Andrew some respect, as each and every one of us has attempted to do today.

Also, I am sure Jon does not like to be referenced as a "dork." He is a kind and brilliant musician, and he too, deserves our utmost respect.

Please take a step back and reflect upon your poor choice of words. When you have done that, and feel you can participate in a mature manner, feel free to post.

Thank you for your attention to this manner.

I totally agree with the "air keyboard" thing. I'm cringing just thinking about it! And when he "sweeps" his hand down the keyboard to just in front of the camera.... he's trying to be a "tough" guy, but he ain't no Lemmy!

Yea!! With the same spaz tough look that he puts on during the SW intro on the Vegas dvd.

I'm going to hell too because I've TARRED AND FEATHERED Cain in this thread and I LOVE the guy. Brilliant (geeky) musician.

Funny thing is, in the SW video, they all look camera unfriendly.

Also, as tough as Schon is, Cain would crush him and any other member. Guy is ripped.

May I suggest you get your anger in check, Fernando. It truly is a hinderance to not only your behaviour, but it is also a black eye to the Board.

That's an abomination.

I've complained about that before.

"(lip quivering) It's not (sniffle, blubber)...f-f-f-fair for kids (blubber, quake) BBBBOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! (blubber) "

And then what in god's name was he talking about in the next sentance? He says something like, "It's only what they got paid to DDDDOOOOOOO HHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  !!!"

And as Dave28 keenly observed, his eyes were dry as the Sahara during the whole scene.

That's it. we're all so going to hell.
On the plus side he looks very cool/tough/manly on all the Generations pix and promo shots and one flex of his pecs would send me pinwheeling across the room.

Label me a sucker, but I thought the man was being sincere in the scene and still do.

I thought he said (paraphrasing here) that it's not fair for a kid so young to go through such PAIN - not "paid".

And as Dave28 keenly observed, his eyes were dry as the Sahara during the whole scene.

I recall tears.
Don't really care enough to go double check my copy of BTM.

The only one who came off phoney during the whole BTM is Perry.
He comes across so factitiously reflective and pensive.
All so rehearsed and laboriously pre-thought out; right down to the "never felt like part of the band" closing comment.
As everyone from Herbie to Ross have mentioned, that line reaches new heights in unprecedented absurdity.
So why did Perry say something so incontrovertibly false, you ask?
Easy-
For sheer knee jerk dramatic effect, that's why
While everyone else was giving on-air testimonials, this guy is doing Henry the VIII up there.

You know what the wierd part is? Despite the fact that his eyes were bone dry, I think he was sincere too. I mean why would you behave like that on camera on purpose :?:
