Live Houston gets 9 out of 10*

Now here is an unexpected but definately welcome AOR treat.Seemingly out of the blue comes a live show of Journey in their prime ,on tour in support of escape, surely one of the greatest AOR albums of all time. And as well as the show, you also get a cd of the show. Both the music and performances are of thehighest calibre, but there is enough hard-rock spirit to banish possible allegations of corporatism.A dash of glitzy American style showmanship, but the dose is just about right.
Jesus loves you ,but everybody else thinks you're a knob.

It's definately the standard-bearer for "vintage" or "period" dvds. It should show bands the magic that technology can produce with some of their great old concerts.....based on his work with Houston, I could almost see other bands hiring Perry to produce/mix/remaster their shows now.

Like a Foreigner show from the 4 tour, for example...
"I love almost everybody."---Rocky Balboa 1990
"Let's reform this thing.Let's go out and get some guys who want to work and go do it"--Neal Schon February, 2001
"I looked at Neal, and I just saw a guy who really wants his band back"-JCain 2/01

That would be a treat. Add REO Hi Infidelity Tour to that short list.

Some great possibilites there, Joe. I wonder how his work would be on material other than what he did with Journey? Knowing His perfection in what he does, he would probably enhance the original.

Nice to see that show out on DVD. That was from a show November 6th, 1981 at the Summit in Houston. That show was show on MTV. I still have an audio dub of that one from the radio. This DVD is supposed to have superior sound.
