It's.....ALLLIIIIIVVVEEEEE! I successfully got the studio computer installed and running...the first time...without fucking it in any way! My bro wants to start laying down tracks this weekend.

I think we'll be doing tracks for both my project and his, considering we're basically using the same band members for both. We'll have to see how it pans out.

Our friend Jeffster (singer of Eden's Lie) has given us permission to cover any of his songs if we decide to do so. Since 99% of his work has no keyboards, it would allow me unlimited freedom in the studio for adding tracks and giving our spin on his songs.

2006 is already starting to look like a busy year. I like I like. :D

Going through my Eden's Lie collection for potential cover songs. My bro has already suggested 'Part the Sea' (a track I shared on this forum a year ago.) So using a neat trick he showed me, I will be laying down keyboard melodies for that track and see what I can come up with.

Other than that, I may drink a Ginger Beer.

The end of the hot weather.... Wish it hurried up and arrive here! The visitor arrived.

For a change the plane was even early! That didn't matter though because they took the wrong train. So they arrived home late as expected. Had fun though so far.

I believe the girls are out shopping while I am slaving away to earn money. Dinner tonight will be something Dutch I believe. S-Dip is looking for a Dutch restaurant, so she doesn't have to cook dinner herself. We seldom eat Dutch food, so the choices were minimal. Hope the restaurant has some weird stuff... Muahaha.

Tomorrow, my weekend starts as well, so I'll be going to party with them too.

By the way, if you have nothing to do, pick up painting. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4836662.stm

I hope everyone's well. I just finished a weekend hanging out with Jeffster of Eden's Lie. It was a blast! We checked out the finished mix of the new album and it smokes! He's gonna sell some albums. Trust me, I KNOW it will. His local fan support is that large. The record label he's signed to will be thankful that they signed him.

I've also started checking out more Ayreon stuff. Why did I ignore this group before? It's about time there's a musician out there not afraid to use keyboards. Arjen Lucassen seems to use them profusively in all his projects. If only more guitarists had that type of respect for the instrument.

But aside from music, I've been a bit depressed. I'd rather not go into details. I'll get over it if things change for the better.

Royal Hunt is another band that uses a lot of keyboards Jonny.

Hope the depression doesn't set in.

Sounds like you had a great weekend, Jonny. Just enjoy the good things.

Bobbi Flekman wrote:By the way, if you have nothing to do, pick up painting. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4836662.stm

His biggest work to date is his 2003 picture of the Titanic, on a 2mm-long mineral sliver.
Well of course, the Titanic is huge, so a small painting wouldn't do it justice... :?

You didn't have to mention we took the wrong train, Bobbi... makes me look bad as a tour guide! Although I really haven't been doing too bad of a job! I was able to come up with a couple of things that are not in the guidebooks! When we walked past the Queen's palace which was closed for renovations -'closed due to circumstances' the sign on the wall said, I suddenly remembered it was because (among others) central heating will be installed in the palace. What a luxury she will have that too now!

We did Dutch food; stamppot, fries and kroket, Dutch apple pie and in return I learned to poach eggs! It was wonderful to catch up, see eachothers holiday pictures (we met on our holiday last November), drink a couple more and have an excellent time again together!

...With the mighty Andre Andersen I may add. He seems to appear everywhere in the power metal world.

But I never really cared for John West as a vocalist (at least not in Artension.) I liked Royal Hunt more when they had DC Cooper.

Cheers Thomasha! I'll have a beer to start off with. :D How is your wine?

I've been out shopping. I saw a pair of nice boots, and then noticed they cost 200 euros... My taste is so expensive! So I didn't buy anything except for groceries. And I forgot to buy half of those... Then I wanted to pick up the photos I had uploaded to the shop, but forgot to bring the print with my ordernumber. They didn't want to give me the prints without that piece of paper. Gonna pick them up tomorrow... if I don't forget!

So, how is everything in Sweden? Has spring started already?

Hi S-dip!

It's a tasty Italian red wine, I usually don't drink wine but I discovered this one last weekend. What kind of beer are you drinking? About the winter, it's snowing like never before. It's not that cold but the winter never seems to end!

I don't usually drink beer but I was craving for another Hoegaarden, hadn't had that in a long time and the ones I had last weekend tasted excellent! We had quite similar weekends it seems, full of discoveries! When I drink wine I prefer the red wine, gives me less of a headache than white wine.

You have snow??? Brrrr! Is that unual or normal for this time of year in Sweden? I have seen some snow fall over here in April, but that's very rare.
Right now we're having sunshine and plus 10C temperatures. It almost feels like summer! Funny really, in autumn when it's just 10 I find it very cold, but right now I don't mind it much. Best part about it is that for the next couple of months it will only get warmer and warmer!

I haven't seen a winter like this for twenty years, usually it should be 5 degrees plus and raining but it's like February. Like you say, we can only look forward to the AOR weather that's coming in May!

AOR weather? That's Westcoast as in Southern California weather? I'd like that here too! Great weather to be outside all day, enjoy a band, and have a drink afterwards, (or earlier...).

Tonight we're going out just for a drink. If you hurry you can join us! ;)

Thanks! I'm not off yet though, to get in the mood we're watching a Deep Purple DVD. Well, in my case it's mostly listening! Right now they're playing Knocking At Your Backdoor, one of my favourites!

Oh how I would love to be the festival sunny and warm this June! It would be as in that Saxon song 'We sat in the sun ohohoh, and the bands played on' 8)

Any photos of the muddy dogs?

You can have some of my warm weather. Aside from a couple cold snaps, this year's winter has been unseasonably warm. It basically stayed just above or just below freezing, and it's usually a lot colder than that. Snowfall was next to nil, give or take a couple squalls.

This past week I even got to dust off my shorts. It's the earliest I've ever worn them.

Winter may not have shown up, but mud season's right on schedule. One day of April, one day-long downpour. :(

I'm hoping it will lead to an unbareably hot summer. Hot weather rules!

I'm looking forward to a nice long cold winter. We just had another cyclone. Wasn't bad down here but the north copped it. Luckily it crosed the coast in unpopulated areas, so damage was minimal.

Pffft....cyclone shmyclone. It was fuck all, just a bit of rain.

Yet another one now, this one even weaker still - and what a nice name it was given - 'Hubert'. Fuck me.

Oh, BTW, hello everyone. Having a good time in life, trying hard to change the world (or at least the 'anti-terror' (freedom) laws!!!

Won't be long before the black helicopters are circling, but I'll be damned if I'll give up my freedom and that of my children without a fight.

Oh, and Taliwakker? Those drum chops are right back up there dude, It'd be very cool if you sent me some of your riffage - maybe that the band won't use? I can put some stuff with it and send it back, as I am in possession of a 4 track these days......writing some lyrics too.....pretty out there stuff, but then it would be wouldn't it?

Probably be about 3 or 4 months before i get a chance to record some new stuff...but it will happen.
We are looking for a new bass player at the moment...our old one moved to Woolongong to go back to Uni because he was sick of the public cervix. We are gonna jam with one guy after easter...he lives in Sydney but says he's happy to drive down every 3 weeks for a jam.

If you have any lyrics you can part with i'd be happy to steal them off you and not give you any credit for them at a later date :D

Do you have any 'boy meets girl and goes for a ride in the car but things turn ugly when boy drugs girl and ties her to tree in the forrest and takes to her with a whippersnipper' type stuff?

Seriously though mate...subject matter isn't a concern...we write about all sorts of stuff...except boy meets girl.

As for getting rogered.....i'll leave that to your discretion.
