Ok, if this forum is to re-open – here are the new rules.

- Absolutely no personal attacks.
- Instant holiday for anyone that does attack anyone.
- Absolutely no baiting and BS pointless responses.
- If you are to join in a thread, JOIN in, don’t post useless BS for the sake of it.
- Lurkers – PLEASE join in.
- There are probably 10 users I have a close eye on. Don’t let me down.
- No bad language in topic descriptions.

Please keep in mind – my server costs have just doubled to over US$400 a month!
This board and the bandwidth it uses is costing me money.
I don’t want my money being pissed away by pointless posts and personal attacks.

Andrew, it maybe none of mybusiness, and if you tell me so thta is fine.
But why has it doubled? Is it because of how much goes on? Have yout hought of switching companies? or is this cheap compared to others? I never would have thought it would cost so much-ERIC

The site in general has increased in popularity and I'm now pumping out 1000G per month in outbound traffic alone.

These forums - which I am not blaming for the excessive traffic - do add to it ad on their own do pump out a lot of data.

I'm on an industrial size hosting plan, but even then I have gone way over and have a huge bill (8 months worth) + new increased traffic costs from here on in.

Very sucky news and no I'm not happy, but what can one do....

Ah Thanks Andrew! Actually this is a very nice forum. I really enjoy the fact that you let people have their say and don't rack our knuckles all the time. I promise to be very good and not get into any fights with any of the other posters. LOL! Thanks for giving it another "go".

A glutton for punishment?

I think this should be a sticky because of the "rules". Or maybe there should just be a 'one post' "RULES" sticky to stay as a reminder to all. I know it will suck to be 'the bad guy' but I think you will truly need to stick with the instant holidays. A simple post saying '10 day (or however long you choose) holiday for _______' any time some crosses the line would serve as a constant reminder to all! I think you can see there are many of us who like being here almost every day!

I think for the most part most people are happy to be back. I say if you have something to say and can say it in a reasonable manner than "have at it". I think some people take things too seriously.
