Never said I wouldn't dude...just aware of the heavy politics involved with all sides and that was something I was very aware of....I simply didn't pursue this interview when there was already a very indepth one online from only a few years back.

This new one was certainly an interesting read though.

So ticket sales is all that it's about? I know better. There are other variables and factors that suggest otherwise, and everyone in the band knows it. Like Herbie says, these 2006 dollars aren't exactly 1985 dollars, so your argument is shit.

A tour.....used to be to promote records, and try to generate sales. Tours used to take losses just to get out there, but times have changed. There are many reasons behind touring.......but now, the biggest one is to make money (this IS their job). Ticket sales, and merch are the moneymakers.

I apologize if you took it that I meant Journey doesn't care about YOUR opinion. Journey is obviously very interested in what their fans want. (Why else would they play a tour of 3 hour shows playing songs most people have never heard?) I was refferring to one person in particular. I don't think they're interested in what people who are NOT fans have to say.

My opinion is no more, or less valid than anyone elses. I asked one question before, in this forum, to try and point out that a few people were throwing around how things "should" be done. People posting how Azoff and Co should be handling things. I have no problem with someone saying Azoff is mismanaging this band, I agree with that, but that doesn't mean that someone who throws his ideas up on a public forum would be any better.......and those claims were being made. I disagree.

Talked about having them tour incessantly in the late '70's
Made fun of them for not touring in '84 and '85
Then makes fun of them for touring a lot now???

Also, he has said in the past that a record like Arrival should have come after Frontiers and that Augeri started to own the songs part way through the Arrival tour. I've read him say a lot of good things about this current band.

I remember Herbie said "You gotta make hay while the sun shines" in the CB interview. He meant that when your band is popular, you have to take full advantage because it doesn't last forever (at least for most bands). He knows that when your 50 and over, you really don't want to be touring the country anymore.
