Just in case you did not hear of this yet:

I just read on BT that Dr. Nick Cirillo, Brother-In-Law to Steve Augeri, died.

Please keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers.

I have to say something here.

It is sad that Augeri's brother in law passed away. However, what if a granddaughter or a cousin of another member perished? is there a difference? I am in no way making a joke here, BUT....Come on? A brother in law of a Journey band member is no more important than Angies family problems right now, or any other MR members going through health problems, or even the death of my first wife to cancer. I am in NO WAY diminishing the man's death, but just because it's a Journey member doesn't merit a lowering of the flag for Christs' sake. If you read BT, you would think the Augeri family is royalty.

Please, someone have the guts to tellme I am either right on this stance or completely full of insensitivity.

I think it's a bit over the line.

Dean you are correct my man. My heart goes out to Augeri's wife. But you are correct it seems like he is royalty on BT. Those people are something else have you read the posts. Deano I got your back brother. Let's keep it real.

Actually, many people mention when a family member passes away or they are having some sort of personal trouble. But unless it is Journey related, it gets closed down....

Back Talk...Man, I can't even begin to understand those people.

What are they going to do when Neal shuts the band down?

Seriously, those people are sick.

Again, Nora, I am not diminishing the mans' death, but he is no more important than my wife, Angikays' uncle, or Colonel Sanders asscrack.

Back Talkers want the world put on hold when anything Journey is dented.

Due, it is the band's website, a family member of one of the band's members has died.

WHY would anyone want to speak out against this and any reaction from fans?

Right or wrong or whatever....WHY would anyone think this was a god time to make a point and try and look superior???

I remain saddended by this whole thread.

Took my joke away as it was part of the inappropriate tone...I love Augeri as much as anyone around, if he reads here (which I think he does) he knows that. This thread was doomed from the get-go however, despite Nora's sincere intent.

I see it as being contrived for fans of a rock band to be saddened by something like this. Where the sentiment is in fact genuine, I apologize......

The problem is that BT takes things to extremes at times. So, when something like this happens and fans react, it is easy to take it as being the same extreme reaction - whether it is or not.

I looked at some of the threads and had a "so what?" reaction to it. It's not like people being awestruck that Perry cut his hair or shaved his mustache, or Neal wearing the wrong type of sunglasses, or Augeri taking his shoes off. Those, IMO, insignificant things get blown out of proportion.

How people react to something like this is up to them...unless it goes on for ten years without Journey recording an album or touring...then I'll start saying things about how the band members and fans react.
