Well that's just it, the casual fans may have never seen Perry live in concert, If they did, they WOULD KNOW that there is a "very big difference" between Augeri & Perry's talent.

They just accept Augeri because they "don't know" what they are REALLY MISSING in a EXCEPTIONAL SINGER & OUTSTANDING PERFORMER like Perry!!!!!!!!

Firstly, I too saw Journey Last summer at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre (Sacramento) and Augie sounded fine. Castronovo was not singing that night either, so aside from Jon and Neal each singing a couple songs, and Ross 1, SA carried that show.

Secondly, I have seen Journey with SP and SA. In his prime no one could touch SP voice, I think we all agree on that here. I also think most of us here can agree that Perry's voice is not the same as it was in 1986 even. Not saying he can't sing, just not the same. Now, as far as Perry's physical performance is concerned, I really don't think Perry at 60 (or close to it) is going to be running around the stage and entertaining people the same way he did 20yrs ago. Especially after Hip surgery

So you can not, IMO, compare SP to SA now, using SP from 10 to 20yrs ago as a reference. The whole band is older, and therefore there presentation (live performance) is tamer yes, but IMO more straight forward.

Journey with Steve Perry would sell out a stadium. People love Steve Perry and they'd love Journey back together. (Nothing against Steve Augeri. I think he's a nice guy.) But I don't think Steve Perry wants to tour anymore, nor do I blame him.

People USED to love Perry. And not EVERYONE did. PLENTY of people disliked his singing style. I love classic Journey as much as anyone, and a Perry-fronted Journey would draw more people, but let's not get ridiculous. It would still be a greatest hits show, this time with a 60 year old man with a low raspy voice. No thanks.

OooooKkkk. If you say so. Not ONE "on" night...Not one. If that's kicking ass, then OJ should run for president.

I would love to talk face to face with Augeri. Just for 5 minutes. I bet he would quit the band after 2 mins.

It's not a "we hate Augie" board, HP. 98% of us love the guy. There is a small niche of conspiracy theorists who are trying to take him down. Won't work.

Hi Back Talker. I know you are a lurker. I know what I know. Trust me, if I told SA what I know, He would step down.

You need to pull your head out of your ass, or pull your lips off his ass. Augeri is not a god, like you over there project him to be.

So go ahead, and tell yourself I know not of what I say. You'll feel better about it.

PS, lurker, this isn't an "hate Augeri board." We all like him, I just am not going to sing praises of a guy who is pulling his Bullshit now.

Rockndeano DOESN'T hate him at all. In fact I have a man crush on him  Now that that has been said, I am here to tell you NIG is blind, 13 is deaf (but both good guys), and I know what I know.

deano, this has been going on for months now. So you want us to do the math. Are you saying SA is out there lip sinking (sp?) on tour. If so, come out and say it. Don't tell us to do the math regarding some peace of knowledge that you feel you have and have been preaching as gospel around here the past few months. Just say it. Take a chance. Just spit it out for Christ sake. :!:
