There is only one way to prove this claim 100 percent and thats to take back to back recordings of a JRNY show and match the vocals up on a computer and if the vocal straight line you have your proof.

If they match exact for both shows you have a winner,

Until someone does this I would not say anything more,

It sounds plausible however it's only opinion since the chain of evidence with illegal tapes isn't clean. In the court of Public Opinion it might get folks thinking hmmmmmmmmmmmm but in a real court of law the tapes have no merit because the sources can't be verified. IOW anybody can edit these tapes and taint the results. I know you folks think boots are great but unless you personally made the tape it's all smoke and mirriors to anyone possessing them except the source and even then since the tapes were acquired illegally they have no merit in a court of law. :!:

When is it supposed to be broadcast? I imagine they'll be trying to pull their performance from the broadcast but if agreements were already signed, that might be tough and the show might make it on the air anyway. That would be pretty interesting.

Yes, I am Svante Pettersson and I remember you and your mail. As for what Pit thinks, I don't give that much attention anymore. I PM'ed him with a simple question to which he insulted me and threatened me with jail.

I find it hard to believe my boss would post here, but if he did I must have missed that. If you think about the thread called "Meet Svante Pettersson", that was posted by some Finnish guy. Who by the way got everything right and I thank him for that.

Yes, there is a privacy issue. If they passed out their tapes left and right there would be bootlegs everywhere. There are enough problems with people recording the broadcasts off the air and then making money on them.

As far as I know coyright laws, anyone is free to record anything off radio for their own personal use.

I don't understand all the attempts by the defenders to try to bring Steve Perry into this. He is not being accused of anything but being lazy.

I think we should break out the term, Augeriheads or Augeriloons. Seems fitting.

He'd need more help than Augeri. Dude is almost 60. Like I've said before, he's smart to have stopped when he did. The material is meant for a younger voice. Augeri should have gotten out before the Generations tour.

That would be cool. I really think Perry could cash in with some Sam Cooke covers or something. Look how Rod Stewart re-invented himself. It would work and I would like to hear him do something.
