Since you spilled the beans on Tapegate, why not tell us what you know about Perry? Or is it so hush, hush that you have to remain in hiding?

Inquiring minds wanna know.

Sorry Andrew, I should have been more specific in my statement. I was directing that at Deano. He differed with your opinion in Steve Perry coming back to Journey....

Again, my apologies but thanks again for the info!

For 40 dates a year whats the problem?

No one knows, but it's clear there is one. Trust me, touring is not fun beyond the age of 30 or so. Most 57 year olds are playing golf and spoiling their grandchildren. People have this perception of Steve Perry as being some Peter Pan-like dude, and he's not. If you're a singer, and you're touring, and you find yourself in a hotel in Shreveport LA in August, and you can't go out because you can't talk to people to save your voice, and you've got to pump yourself full of medicine to make it through the night's show, and your bandmates are sitting at the pool or hanging out in the hotel bar, it really sucks. So why on earth, unless you needed the money, would anyone want to do that at his age? And since he obviously doesn't need the money, why would he?

If you paint it that way then it stinks
If you instead go for a hike in each city or do a yoga class or get a massage or just sleep durning the day its not that bad of a deal

Also you could do radio interviews ect
Its not doom and gloom unless you burn out
40 dates is nothing

What Jeremy said. That's how I see it - why would he want to sit around in a lonely hotel room again & not being able to talk or eat certain things, etc. in order to preserve the voice for performance?

He made it very clear that there is no going back to Journey.

But...we still don't know if he might put out some new songs on iTunes or something like that, after all, he said recently he is "practicing his scales to see what I've got"...I think a person should only sing what they are capable of - where their voice is at this point in time & in whatever genre that fits.

You guys are ridiculous
Than why did he ever get in the buisness in the first place
Its called working for a living guys
Gee poor STEVE he has to sit in a hotel room
What's the matter with you guys .

He made it very clear that there is no going back to Journey.

He also said he would see his fans real soon.
He also said he was not going back to JRNY only to do TBF
Its time for all the BS to end and Perry close out his JRNY career the right way.

Do not see Perry doing that at all.

I would not like living in hotel rooms and not talking. Oh, he's done that for enough of his life. I'd rather have fun. Why would he want to do that?

Yes "Lead Singer" is a position in a band of people that Work for a Living.

I can understand Perry not wanting to tour or be in the spotlight anymore, but he shoud have bowed out gracefully (like Rollie did). None of this non communication crap.

IMO the only reason he came back to do TBF, was because he caught wind that Journey was already set to reunite with Rollie and Chalfant on vox and he wanted to circumvent that. Again, my opinion.

I thought it was b/c Sony would only greenlight a Journey CD with Perry in the lineup?

Yeah, that and according to Moyes Lucas they wouldn't release another single from FTLOSM unless he did it. Then they never released it anyway.
