You are saying that Swepett is not Svante Pettersson and that Svante has not actually been on here posting, and confirming what they recorded and heard?

Come on,EightyRock, don't you know that Pit is our little Shakespeare?
We need a goddamned translation everytime he posts his skimble-skamble sonnets!I think he wanted to say that Svante is not a *savant* as in a learned person,a scientist...
Because if he really meant that Svante is a fake, then I'd say Pit is gone haywire.

Thats about what I expected out of you. Just more lame jibberish. Another sweet stepchild o mine. Get your ass in the corner for a time out, and shut the hell up.

Remember that one chief?

Excuse me? What was that? Are you saying that I posted that? You will have to do better than that, man.Find my post, bring it here.
Or explain.But in plain English,please.

Your words man. Plain and simple. If Andy had not deleted just certain threads, I'm sure you could find it.

And I have a question for all you ardent Pheads. Honest answer only please.

Why is Hugo such a big deal to you? The first time i heard about him I went to look at webshots ofa local show here at The Mall of Georgia or some place like that.

The first pic I laid eyes on had this dude with a big nose standing there wearing tuxedo tails. Now get this. I've met SP, and can't say I was impressed with he as a human one single bit, yet I do try to respect his contributions to JRNY. "Opened the Door" still edges out "All the Things" as my favorite tune ever. Lot more to do with Neal's subtle brilliance than anything, but................

If you all are so adamant about Mr P, yet scream Hugo all day long, how in the hell can you let him get away with wearing tails in a performance?
Thats blasphemy if there ever was. Perry's entire solo tour was based on those tails falling from the rafters, and it's his signature, and his alone. But it's OK for Hugo. He's no fraud.

And you are all two faced as hell too. An agenda against Stevie plain and simple. Stevie has far to much class to do something like that, and did everything but bow to SP in Hollywood, yet you still don't cut him a single break. Hang onto your '78 Camaro memories all you want, but Stevie Augeri grew up learning how to respect, and I can't say the same thing for a singl Phead I've ever known save one. Sadly, I'm not the only one who can't say it about SP either. Self respect or otherwise.

pit

Yep.Just as I thought - you are deranged.
First off,I'm not a *PHead* if that's what you're thinking.
Second,I never posted that line.I don't give a shit about Hugo.I am here solely to find out the truth about the present Journey scandal.
Perry has absolutely nothing to do with this and, hey!, I don't know if you heard the news in your neck of the woods:Perry is NOT coming back to Journey!!
I don't have time for agendas, conspiracies and all that.
You are watching to many lousy movies, man.

Pit, I'm the guy that plays at Mall of Georgia every year. I play in Atlanta many times a year, to hundreds of people (meaning like 500-600) every time we play there. Larry Z from Journey's crew has been out to a show, and was really impressed. I got a big nose and I wear tails. It's called a tribute band. A tribute band. Are you living in the real world? Ever hear of a tribute band? I got as much right to sing those songs as Steve Augeri does, and I'd say I do a pretty good job. I've kept my wits and tried to be real impartial throughout this whole ordeal and you come on this board and call me a Fraud? For being in a tribute band? What did I do to you?

My mistake Jeremy. Anything thats not the real thing I guess i don't file as well. I didn't say you were a fraud. Read it again slowly. I said the ardent PHeads didn't call you a fraud. Make a living anyway you can dude, but you have no respect for Steve F*n Perry if you wear tails on stage. If that wasn't the highlight of his solo career nights, feel free to correct me. You can sing all you want, and maybe even you would impress me, but I've never met a Larry Z, and I know every member of the crew, even the truckdrivers who are the coolest of the lot.

And lets get this out here right now. If I end up wrong I will come right here on these very boards, and bow to all of you, but you all know thats a shot in the dark. If I end up right, where are you all going to be? Where's DBoy right now? Wher was he the other night when i just asked for an apology to kids old enough to read online? An apology from a group of no respect idiots who trashed a fine man in a bereavement thread on these boards?

Good luck to you Jeremy, and all your band mates. Please keep spreading the Journey gospel, but don't trash it at the same damn time. If you do you are just as two faced as the rest, and aren't paying tribute to jack shit.

Pit,

Here's my dilemma...The Perryheads hate me because they claim, like you, that I am disrespecting the memory of Steve Perry and Journey. The Augeriheads hate me because they think for some reason I am disrespecting Steve Augeri and the current incarnation of the band because we are a Perry-era Journey tribute band. So I learned a while ago that I can't win. I don't make a living, but rather spend all my spare time traveling from FL to OH every weekend performing the tunes that mean so much to me and the people that come to our performances. I also have a respectable job as an account executive during 50 other hours of my week, so I don't fool myself or anyone else into thinking this is my life. It's an enjoyable hobby, nothing more...no one has ever left a Frontiers show with the impression that we were trashing or disrespecting Journey in any way, tails or no.

Just for you Pit and your followers.

Jeremy Hunsicker, a professional singer and a real smart guy, who is a master at voice and voice matters as well as machinery to determine what if....

This from Jeremy, which disputes your crazy "New" spin job.

"Here's the thing. You cannot isolate a vocal line, or a guitar solo, or a bass line, where there is other music playing. There isn't enough technical wizadry in the world, despite what movies like "The Fugitive" or shows like "24" purport. As I mentioned on MR.com, if someone doctored the bootlegs, they had access to the multitrack recordings from the Vegas DVD. I'm not into opinions here, I'm just giving you the facts. Which I think is a pretty serious situation that Journey should look into, actually, considering that the general public would not have access to these recordings, it would only be someone at Sony or someone within the Journey organization itself."

I will accept your apology when you feel up to it, Pit. And o yeah, one more threat from you, be it a promise to personally disable me or my family, or a bomb in the mailbox (his latest), will result in your timely arrest. That's a promise. Try me, if you don't believe.

What do they think when you online and find out you were the guy they were so impressed with?

If you don't attempt Augeri Era tunes how can you call yourselves a JRNY tribute band? Ever opened a show with 'all the things?' Seems a pretty safe place to squeeze in the new stuff? 'Remember Me'? It's the anchor song on one of the biggest selling albums of all the history of recorded music. How about 'Butterfly?' A tribute to battered amd abused women all over the world? Ever tried that one?

Do you advertise a Perry - Era tribute band, or Journey tibute band?

Jeremey, I find that you do a very good job in your singing, and I'm both an Augeri fan and Perry. And if I could sing half as good as you, I would be singing in a band too.

Now on to something else.
I have in the past, took the Steve Perry vocals out of a song, then took the Augeri vocals out of the same song, and added both to the Storm's version of the song, making a trio on the song. I ,mentioned this a year or two ago. It was a pretty cool song, but have since lost or missed placed it since the move from the hurricane.
I have several music programs, some professional that allow me to do this.
Also I was say this, I mailed 2 such programs to a person here on this board. that is all I will say on the matter, I have a vacation to get ready for.-ERIC

Hehfggbbhdhskf....

We don't do the Augeri-era tunes because we do portray a Perry-era tribute. One of the biggest reasons I felt "okay" about doing this show was because Perry and Journey are no longer touring and making music together. I've never understood the appeal of a Green Day tribute or a Coldplay tribute or whatever when the original band is still out there making music. Die hard Journey fans are so polarized, as I mentioned above, that they rarely attend one of our shows. Therefore, our crowd is mostly twenty-somethings who love "Don't Stop Believin'" and the other greatest hits...It's hard enough holding their attention with "Edge of The Blade" or "Line of Fire," it would be nearly impossible to pull out a song like "All The Things" or even "Higher Place" and have our crowd respond to it. They're coming for the songs that are iconic in the American songbook, and they are that way for a reason. I've been told I sound like Steve Perry my entire life, so doing a Steve Augeri impression probably wouldn't be as sincere....

Okay, enough, hope that clears everything up! Hope you can make it to a show, next month we'll be at Andrews Upstairs in Buckhead on July 21st!

Thanks.

Jeremy, I have applied for photo passes at Andrews when you guys were there before. I got zero response from 3 email addys. No slap to you, but I wouldn't want to be there if I couldn't shoot.

I get what you are saying about the generations of your audience, but an opening song isn't going to affect or change a thing but get everything grooving. You'd be surprised hoe many youngsters love the song, and you should see the UAB dance Blazerettes do their thing to 'All the Things' at a ball game.

If I can make it, I'll try to attend on the 21st. You have my word.

Yeah it's never the pure vocal, bass, drum or guitar line, but it is close enough. The residual gets lost in the mix when it's overdubbed.

Like I said...try it and listen for your self...the truth is there.

Um, I don't think I am the least bit arrogant saying this, so I will.

Dear Pit, I am above you, and will not reply to you again.

There have been over 10 letters to Journy Mgt regarding you and your behaviour, and you probably will never photograph them again. LOL, you said your were the bands official photographer..I needed a laugh.

Thanks.

PS- you wouldn't be extradited you moron. Learn the frickin law.

I never said I was the bands official photographer. You and your cronies did. My work with them has been with journeymusic.com solely, and the CrossRoads Festival coverage almost won an award. Just think we would have something in common if I had won; After all you are the award winning asshole by any stretch of the imagination.

Now who is the moron? Should I get up early tomorrow for a vist from the Sheriff? I've got your addy but you don't have mine numbynads. Crawl back to the hole from which you came. GHog day will be here soon enough, and you can come out and make more lame predictions and accusations. Here it is the opening of the tour, and you're out of business.

Too bad fluffernut. Have fun in the big house, and say hi to Popeye for me. Surely there's one there, and he will love that blond hair and those blue eyes. Laughter will turn to sorrow soon enough.

Thanks, I'll be glad to put you on our list. You can email me from the NEWSLETTER link at our site (www.journeytributeband.com) as well for any other details...

BTW, I am not sure who Larry Z is, he has quite a following on BackTalk, and he introduced himself at our show as being a part of BackTalk. I also see he has organized quite a get together for the Journey show this summer..

Stuart,

I have been considering the idea myself for the past day or so, and wanted to basically get to the bottom of whether or not there are doctored files, and who would be behind it. I've downloaded a portion of the Manchester show from the bootleg site and comparing it in a few programs, and will post a thread as soon as I organize what I've worked up.

Yes, the ducks are Dean's arguments falling over one by one.

I know how to read and have perused this forum to see what so-called evidence you might have and have found it lacking. To tell the truth, initially, I wasn't much surprised to find out that someone was accusing Augeri of lip-synching since it's well known that it does go on in this business. However, I haven't found your arguments to be all that convincing. If they turn out to be true, I'll condemn them for it. I'm not like some of the Journey butt-kissers at Back Talk that worship the ground that Journey walks on. If they are indeed doing what you say they are, they deserve to lose the respect of their fans.

Anyway, considering your standard of proof is fairly low to begin with, I guess I won't lose much sleep over the fact that you consider 15 posts to be evidence of a lack of knowledge.
