Here is my claim.
1- I said that Augeri wasn't just getting help, he was mouthing, lipping, miming, whatever, to 95% of the show, all but 1 week of the tour.
2- The tape is NOT backing vocals..those are happening, but I don't care about that. The tape I am concerned about is the LEAD VOCAL TAPE.
3- A majority of the songs, Separate Ways, Escape, Faithfully, Ask the Lonely Who's Cryin' Now, Stone in Love , Anyway You Want It and Be Good to Yourself are ALL from Las Vegas, 2001 DVD.
4- Don't Stop Believin' is mostly from the Vegas show, but obviously chopped up due to Vegas' extended version.
5- Las Vegas 2001 DVD, was performed live, but what you bought in the store, was not live..not even close. It was recorded in studio!
6- The Place in Your Heart is straight off the CD.
7- Faith in the Heartland is lipped, many of it from the studio CD, and some from another version.
08- The other songs, such as Chain reaction and Edge of the Blade, are recorded studio tracks.
9- The ONLY song Augeri sang 100% live was lovin' Touchin" Squeezin." Notice now they don't play that one anymore? Too hard to lip that one..To choppy...
So yes, this is what I am accusing the band of doing. Any deviation of this is not my responsibilty.

Obviously that wasn't a problem since they released the Vegas DVD full of Perry-era songs.
WalrusOct9 wrote:Also, as was said, they supposedly demoed several old Journey tunes with Augeri in '98 for promotional purposes, although I find it odd that they did that and those demos have never leaked out to collectors.

One-time agreement in exchange for Perry's editing rights on BTM (according to HH).WalrusOct9 wrote:Also, as was said, they supposedly demoed several old Journey tunes with Augeri in '98 for promotional purposes, although I find it odd that they did that and those demos have never leaked out to collectors.
I musta missed that...

And this would be claimed for what time frame?
The ONLY song Augeri sang 100% live was lovin' Touchin" Squeezin." Notice now they don't play that one anymore? Too hard to lip that one..To choppy...

Are you high? Pay to see this shit? To see a mime?
To see Jon cain play with integrity?
What a sick joke of a question that is.

This has been going on since last year with approx 50 shows and nobody has gotten wind of this or suspected it before ?????
I finf this hard to beleive because last year when I wrote my review from a September Show I had mentioned how they were good but SA was a bit off his game he didn't sound as good as he had in the past, so If they were using recordings it would of sounded much better. The night I saw them SA sounded great on Feelin That Way and Anytime and didn't sound so well during the "greatest hit set" while he was not bad I have just heard him better
To me it seems that you have some connection with the band

That's exactly what I was thinking. You guys are too sure of yourselves to just be fans. You must either have a connection with the band or have access to demo tapes etc... maybe as sound guys or something?

If we are matching boot legged recordings to a professional recoreded dvdand NOBODY in the US broke the stry last year during the 30th Ann. tour and people are sitiing right there in the front row. I find it very hard to believe that this has been going on since the 2nd week of the tour last year. The story would of made it out there before now.

For those that would lsiten, the story did break. I don't think anyone was certain as to the extent of it. What's more likely - Deano is sitting around doctoring boots to harm a band he has long supported, even in the Augeri years? Or Journey is totally innocent, but still chooses to say nothing about it?
Common sense.
I have stated several times - the tape issue just made me think less of them and stop seeing them. But no biggie. But once it was out there and they did not respond, that's what really gets to me. They have Joe Elliot out there fielding questions about it instead.

2- Most media doesn't care about Journey. And secondly, I truly believe no one had the balls to come forward. Azoff is good at squashing certain journalists...ahem.....

Do you think Deano has it out for the band for some reason?
I know the no response is tough to deal with and to be honset that is the reason I keep following this

Well, by break I mean it was discussed on message boards a couple times. I don't mean it was in the news. I think the Faithfully evidence and the Svante post are what really excelled this. Once it's out there, it's out there.

People have also heard it mentioned on the radio. I would think that would qualify as having something break in the music world. It may not be CNN, but radio is a bigger part of music than CNN.
