well if thats the case they better get steve p back so all 3 of the boys can get back to there magic of writing like days gone by...Because right now ...it's not happening...let the egos deflate and let them have a reality check and they might ...just might... get back the magic that was once Journey...

Oh, please, Perry hasn't written like the "days gone by" since, well, 1984.

Because right now ...it's not happening...let the egos deflate and let them have a reality check and they might ...just might... get back the magic that was once Journey...

The 'magic' you are talking about hasn't been in the band since 1983. Get over it...the past is just that - in the past.

Oh, really? Santana reunited with his original band, recorded a new album, and toured?

Oh, I see. So, it was NOT about bringing back together an old sorta 'magic' with four other people. It was all about REPLACING people and starting over.

Gee, I think Journey already did that.

And, I will add that is your opinion. My opinion is that I will take: Arrival, the 2001 DVD, Red 13, and Generations, and the live shows I have seen, over what I would have had with Perry over the past 8 years - which would have been NOTHING.

In fact, I will take the years with Augeri over ROR and TBF too.

As I said many times...I bought ROR the day it was released. I played in a car with a friend of mine. After it was over, he took out the tape and said, "That's too bad. Steve Perry has done to Journey exactly what Dennis DeYoung has done to Styx." It sucks when one member of the band takes total control of the band.

I was never much into .38 Special. But, "Third Stage" is a good album. It's not even comparable to ROR...

If you want to compare ROR to something, it's more like Starship's "Knee Deep in the Hoopla". A once great rock band reduced to playing mediocre pop songs.

TBF wasn't as strong I'll give ya that
but come on Monker they had
several hits from ROR every song was good.
You might not like it, that's cool but it did have great songs on it.
And that is not just my opinion.
Suzanne, Girl Can't Help It, Positive Touch,Be Good To yourself
and I'll Be Alright Without You.
Same amount of hits as Frontiers.

Positive Touch didn't chart in the top 40.

ROR:
GCHI - #17
Suzzane - #17
BGTY - 9
IBAWY - 14

So, by your own argument, you are saying ROR is better then: Infinity, Evolution, Departure, Captured, and TBF.

I don't think so. Charting does not make a song better. ROR sucks compared to all of the above albums, including TBF.

No what I'm saying is that it was stronger than
Trial By Fire.
Nothing more nothing less.

So what does make a song better than charting Monker?
Your stamp of approval on it?
Looks to me like we have two different opinions and one
successful album.

Obviously you don't know what you are talking about .38 Special doesn't have an album called third stage, try Boston, dumbass. Yeah, I checked what I own, and the .38 Special website, I was right.

You can't use misinformation to make a valid arguement Monker.

People like or don't like ROR, there's not much in between. You'll never convince someone that loves it, that it's bad and likewise, you'll never convince someone who hates it, that it's even ok, much less good.

edited to add - if ANY songs from ROR should be in the dirty dozen, then Be Good To Yourself should.
