Big 80's Alert Journey Junkies!!

Big '80s alert
First there was vocal acrobat Steve Perry.
Then there was forgettable sound-alike Steve Augeri.
Now, the pop mothership known as Journey sports a new front man: Jeff Scott Soto.

Who?

Beginning today - in that Journeystronghold of Bristow, Va. - Soto will sing for Augeri, who has been sidelined with a chronic throat infection. Soto previously performed with Journey guitarist Neal Schon.
Augeri's condition will be monitored to determine when - or if - he can rejoin the nationwide tour with Def Leppard.
Don't stop believin', Journey junkies. Maybe Steve Perry will bring his glorious tenor out of super-group retirement and legitimize this Journey rip-off.

I think the post '98 version of Journey has shot themselves in the foot with the tapegate thing. That is national news now and they are looking at them as a joke. Better hope Soto steps up to the plate and puts them in a better light now. They've got alot of crap to make up for with the press and the fans.

I find it rather comical. After ALL THESE YEARS, the Perryheads are STILL lingering around in the shadows BITCHING about Perry getting kicked out of the band.

My god man, do you have a fucking life? What in the world possesses you to dwell on something that happened eight years ago? So what if he was kicked out, what the fuck can you do about it?? Is your life so menial and insignificant that the issue of some guy you don't know getting kicked out of a band you like is eating away at you eight years after it happened?

For fucks sake, move the fuck on!

same story, other papers. It is what it is! You can run but you can't hide.

Kentucky.com called it the "Forgettable Journey"

Let's hope Journey starts paying attention to their image

You really expect us to think you care about any Journey that doesn't have Perry singing lead? As long as Perry is sitting home petting his cats, you and your minions will be Googling negative Journey articles and posting links here.

Sorry NIG, but how about we start fresh today. YOU OFF MY CASE! I am looking forward to seeing Journey with JSS, big time! In the mean time, I will post articles about Journey whether they are positive or NEGATIVE.

OK, let me see if I'm understanding this correctly. You think it's lame for BT to only allow glowing articles and reviews, but that's the way you want it here too.

If PF is feeling negative about the new singer I'm not aware of it. Don't you think it could be that she's just wanting to discuss the other side of the public reaction rather than just the glowing reviews that have come from BT? Isn't that allowed?

Everything I've read from PF indicates that she seems excited, or at the very least, intrigued, by JSS's arrival into the band.
She gave Augeri a shot (twice, I believe) and I think PF will give Jeff a fair chance, as well.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with you posting the good or the "bad articles of Journey. It keeps Journey on their toes, so to speak, THEY were "slacking off" when Augeri was doing his "lip synching" for that LONG PERIOD OF TIME, so yea , I think Journey NEEDS these Articles "Good" or "Bad" to keep them FOCUS on making their image strong again, LIKE the STRONG IMAGE they had with Perry for years & years!!!
