He Gone

Postby Saint John » Sat Jul 08, 2006 3:26 pm

Well well...looks like we've found someone willing to sing live AND do a great job of it. See...replacing the last dude wasn't that hard. I never thought it would be. By the way...looks like Augeri may have been fired/released. He'll never sing on this tour. He would need a new contract. He's out of this one. They wouldn't even let HIM release a statement. Glad that sorry chapter is over.

As classy as a guy singing into a mic that wasn't turned on? 20+ years Europeans waited to see Journey and they got Milli Vaniili instead. Now THAT is classy.

Yeah fair point, but I waited that long and I saw the Edinburgh show a month ago and they rocked - whatever the real truth about all the allegations, I'm just glad that I got to see Journey with Steve Augeri at a great gig...

...wherever his vocals were coming from, at least he looked the part and that was enough for me : I was too busy enjoying the show and singing my heart out to my favourite songs to notice anything odd going on, if indeed it was.

Good luck JSS and SA...

Same here Fallingman.

Regardless of all this stuff, the Edinburgh gig was brilliant.

It is not possible to "keep it cool" here Andrew. Post after post with the same thing and new conspiracies popping up left and right. Apparently, Augeri is out, JSS is in, Neal speaks directly to certain people on this board and now some people want Cain out.

Keep it cool? Not gonna happen...not even soon.

Journey On....

People want Jonathan out? For god's sake this is really going over the score now.

Exactly. He's been there 26 years and wrote/co-wrote most of the songs. It would be bloody stupid to get rid of him.

I don't think they'd be daft enough to get rid of him... but then anything can happen.

I could see Jon leaving if he doesn't get along with Jeff.

I was thinking the same exact thing, but was then told I wanted Cain gone

Then I was told by someone else, if JSS proves himself, Cain will never leave.

This whole thing is becoming a joke.

I sure as hell wouldn't pack in something I'd done for half my life just because some new guy I didn't get on with came in. Especially if like him I'd written most of the hits.

Yeah, but Neal runs it. What he says goes.

It's all moot, anyway. It seems like Soto holds all the Journeymen in high regard.

Exactly... World Play was recorded in JC's studio. Somebody here implied that the next Journey member they wanted gone was JC  guess the somebody wants to keep an agenda (read spotlight here) going. Image
