18 songs in 80 minutes, pretty good. Still wish they'd switch up a bit more though.

I love this setlist. "Where Were You" is one of my faves. I do hope to hear Deen sing one of the ballads, just because ;). I am hopeful the setlist will continue to change a little each time. I loved last years tour with the early stuff, but the dirty dozen has worn out its welcome with me.

It's nice to see that they put Send Her My Love back into the set rotation for Jeff to sing. If they had more time, I would love to hear Chain Reaction and Rubicon too. Anyway, this is a good set list for the allotted time they are given!

True, but a new vocalist adds a sheen of curiosity to the proceedings.
Otherwise, I would sit this tour out.

I agree. I went to the Jones Beach show and that was going to be it for me for this tour. I am seriously considering the September show in Atlantic City. Sure, it's the same old songs, but with a new spin.

I agree as well. I got tickets just to see JSS do his thing, I could really care less about the greatest hits.

What is cool is the possiblity of a new album.

JSS blew up the stage in West Palm, his energy, interaction with the band, his voice on the songs was incredible, the whole time I kept saying to myself, this guy has been ready to do this for awhile. The way he acted with the band, the crowd, the improv's on some songs, the "Journey" touches. He has Perry's stage presence out front and adds some raw edge to the band. I thought it was an increible show. The question still is how many days has JSS REALLY been rehearsing? there is NO WAY this was only his 3rd show with the band, he seemed too comforatable...in a good way. He rocked Where were You !!!!!!

As he said on his web site, he's been singing these songs forever and knows some of them better than his own songs.

I couldn't imagine JSS being uncomfortable with Journey. He's got the relationship with Neal and Deen already. No doubt he brings out the edgier side of Journey (kinda like the Frontiers days).

He's a total pro! While he might not have been rehearsing for Journey, he plays, tours and sings constantly, so he is more or less, ready roll at any given moment!

Doesn't JRNY know about the concept of touring to promote sales of their current release?

It took him a couple of songs to really get warmed up, but JEFF SCOTT SOTO did an amazing job and NO...he doesn't sound Perry-esque! He brought his own flare to those songs...Did he hit all the high notes?...well NO..but he covered the songs very well! Standouts for Jeff were IMO, Escape, Send Her My Love(WOW!) and Where Were You...Faith In The Heartland friggin' ROCKED and is the perfect opening song, contrary to conflicting opinions on this board. I had never heard Deen sing Faithfully before...OMG!! Fucking Perry perfect flawless!! Deen's vocals on Open Arms were equally impressive.

Journey (according to the critics and the media) may have reached a temporary bump in the road....BUT it sure didn't seem that way Monday night! I walked away from a great performance!

I really enjoyed Def Leppard, as well! Great show!
