You wanna class singer...try this guy!!!!

Toby Hitchcock (who?? u cry!!! :shock: ) from Jim Peteriks(Ex Survivor) "Pride Of Lions"

I just got the DVD of the band live in Belgium... Toby is an awesome vocalist.... totally unknown before hooking up with Peterik. He is a natural... not Perry sounding.. but an immense range... in the "Lions" set they cover a couple Survivor songs... "I can't Hold Back" and "The Search Is Over" and he easily does a "Jimi Jamieson" on them.

Absolutely no over dubs on the DVD.. I sometimes mail Mr Peterik..and he mails back.. how cool is that?? and Toby did no overdubs at all. On the DVD is a "special" section.. that has Jim and Toby performing on a local broadcast station..with just acoustic gtr and voices...awesome.

Only thing is..Toby looks just like he is an audience member who just jumped on stage...totally ordinary...but maybe thats a good thing?? I dunno

Anyway..please check him out... just for the sake of listening to a "class" singer if nothing else

I can just imagine the awesome songs he could sing in the Journey format..... :shock:

you can get clips from all the tracks off the 2 albums they have out.... just click into "multi media"

ps.. Peterik shares vocals on some tracks...usually the low parts...he does this at the start of "sound of home".. dont be put off...lol

Watched the Sound of Home clip. Not bad at all. Kind of reminds me of Toto.

He sounds a bit like Dennis DeYoung on some of the higher parts. Good singer!

I picked up the audio to the DVD and must say I was quite impressed. You could hear him open up more as the show goes on too.

Actually... I do think the guy wld be perfect for Styx after reading ConversationPC's comment !!

I like Toby, great guy, great voice. But not a performer...yet. He's still young and he's not great on stage and I do think his voice - while powerful...lacks a little emotion. He'll get there!

He blows away anyone on the current edition of RockStar: SuperNova, that's for sure.
