By the Way WHY WHY WHY WHY was "I Can See It In Your Eyes" Left off of "Trial By Fire". That song would've saved that album from being too slow. GREAT tune!

It was put on the Japanese release of TBF. :D

Oh good LORD.....you want SOUL?! Check THIS one out!

I swear...if THIS doesn't wake your a$$ up, then you must be dead!

Ladies & Gentlemen: Steve Perry ~ "Don't Tell Me Why You're Leaving"

I was going to try to download that but it was going to take about 3 hours to download.

What is the song like? Is it really good or just ok?

Also is it a really long song that it was going to take so long to download?]

While I was messing around on yousendit.com, I uploaded this one - Perry solo, "Congratulations" - the quality is a bit crappy but it's interesting:

Ok, ready whenever you are.

Hey Deano...good to see ya back again. Hope I'm "under the wire" here..but Nickel & Dime and Butterfly from last year's tour. Thanks in advance. :-)

BTW...Butterfly's end solo is a VERY sentimental thing to me....even though I know most of you don't like the song... It reminds me of my flight to PA. the day my dad died...(I KNOW this sounds grim.lol) but the end solo to Butterfly was the first thing I heard on the plane and I realized how BEAUTIFUL the solo was at that point. I also realized how HOPEFUL is sounded. (to ME anyway) Rather emotional but soothing at the same time. Trust me...I can't explain it...I wish I could...but anyone who's lost a loved one can relate to certain things that drive your memory. Again....sorry.

Nickel And Dime, on the other hand, just kicks ass. LOL.
Sorry for the spill of emotions, y'all.

Ok a few more goodies for ya! This will feature 3 different singers:

First offering is fronted by Steve Perry "Ask The Lonely" from 10/9/86 in Detroit. Ignore the Japanese talking in the first couple of seconds. No idea why that is there.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 175D7D1CA3

Number 2 is Neal Schon with "No more Lies" from Oklahoma 7-21-83

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... ED5DC9DE70

And finally "Stay" with Steve Augeri on vocals (Sorry no date or location)

Thanks so much! Man it was great to hear No More Lies! I haven't heard that one in ages. Steve A. sounds so good on Stay Awhile. That must've been a long time ago.

Anyone who says Augeri wasn't the right man for the job needs to listen to this clip. Fantastic.

HOTS, perryfaithful, PROPERRY... please listen to this. No, it is not Perry. But it is damn close.

Faithfully from '86 somewhere in Ohio. This is the best live performance of the song I've ever heard. The man didn't lose much between Frontiers and ROR.

That may be one of the better vocal performances I've heard from Augeri...Not perfect but pretty darned good.

This is my first time and I just wanted to say what an awesome site and thanks so much for all the great songs. Hey Deano, just FYI, the '83 concert was held on June 4th 1983 at JFK stadium which no longer exists. They were the final act of an all day concert which featured several bands including John Mellencamp, The Tubes, and 2 or 3 more that I can't think of at the moment. I was there and it was an AWESOME show to say the least. The '86 concerts were 2 nights in October (14th and 15th) and THEY were indoors at the Spectrum and I was there for both of those shows as well. Just typing about it makes me miss those days when Journey packed the house. I wish I had songs to contribute. Thanks again to everybody.

I've got this one squirreled away somewhere from long ago. It was a superior performance. Thanks for reminding me how great they were in '86. Perry sounded superhuman.
