Also, I guarantee you that you spell guarantee, guarantee, and not garentee, like the one person spelled garemnteed. He spelled it garenteed, not guaranteed, so I guarantee you the way to spell guarantee is guarantee.

Some DL fans agree with me...

... Journey sounded great!!! They do really need to find a way to keep him singing with them. He was awesome.

... thought Jeff Scott Soto tore it up onstage.

... If Journey can find a way to keep him on- they should. Excellent frontman and he can sing like a mofo.

... I thought Journey was great. I really liked Jeff Scott Soto.

... Journey was very good. I haven't really followed them since Steve Perry left, but the singer they had last night was really good.

... and no crapola comparing him to Joe --

People are going to the shows because they bought there tickets months ago with the thought that SA was singing and fronting the band. Trust me if I had to buy more tickets for more shows I would only buy them if SA was back. I have waisted too much money not to see the real Journey. Yes JSS rocks but he needs to be a frontman to another band other than Journey.

And, I (and others) are buying another ticket for another show because JSS is fronting them...

And, let's face it, the 'real' Journey included SP.

Ok, I have had it. This tunnel vision simplicity and flatout blindness kills me.

If you walked up to 20 people, anywhere, and asked them who is the lead singer of Journey, 13 would say S Perry, 5 would not know or care, and maybe 2 would say the new Steve guy.

To say people bought tickets to see SA sing is laughable. BT is only 500 strong. They are playing to a million people with DL, and the reason people are going is because of the Dirty dozen, no other reason.

Jesu Christ, the insanity of these BT ers!

Uh, stick around? Thanks, but no thanks. You guys stay up waaay too late for me. I have to get my beauty sleep (ya never know when one of the Lepps might notice me from the stage - and yes, that's sarcasm  There ain't enough sleep in the world to make me a beauty.)

I've had my laugh tonight (thank you, it was most appreciated) and I'll go back to lurking for awhile -- it's soooo much safer that way.

I saw the same tour with Frampton and Waite, and frankly I think they ALL put on a great show. Would I pay to see them all together teh following year if they toured, no way.

Bullshit.

Much of the tour was already on sale before SA was replaced.

I think if they put a cd out and tour on it....they are going to be back in business ...big business.

Journey will NEVER be as 'big' with albums, not even "Arrival" big - no matter who is singing.

i think with JSS and dean....they will have the glory days back and i think people are getting excited about JSS.

I think you are WAY over-estimating the popularity of a thirty year old band.

I know i am....I'd almost say this tour has been the most successful tour since perry's departure. Maybe i am wrong but the two shows i saw both had well over 23'000 people....thats the real deal

It's no different then the Main Event...It's the names of the bands and the history and the fact that you can see them together that sells tickets - Not who is lead singer. That is how it has always been since Vacations Over.

I remember we were saying the exact same thing about Styx last year. They NEVER left, and ultimately were playing Pizza Shacks because everyone saw them every 2 months.

When they tried to do that, radio ignored them. So, they stopped trying. I don't see how that attitude is going to change any time soon.

Morons!! Please read
Ive been here some time now...decided to sign up...this forum is riddled with repulsive, small minded, and small-dicked, (evidently), little toss-pots

I dont know who the moderators are here.. but they should be shot..... the language used here is excessive...and the abuse seems very personal

What Monker says is correct

There seems to be about half a dozen people here who are ignoring Andrew's requests...and plainly just not interested in keeping this forum "clean and informed" they quite clearly are just "taking the piss" out of Andrew..and have no respect for his wishes at all .....

It all makes for pretty pathetic reading, from an "outsiders" point of view.. I think a few have lost the plot here.... the place needs to be "cleansed" of the detritus, .. (I think the word "morons, was used..how apt..as the standard of post here is pretty moronic) and needs to be rebuilt

Adios to some of you I think, when normality returns
