Even Chile wants U.S. Citizens coming there to spend their bucks, ya know?

I believe in spending my money not only where family is, but where the products sold at Wal-Mart, I mean in the U.S. are made.

The money goes much further too.

This sounds daft, but I have a bit of a gut feeling that now all this has gone on there really will be something wrong with Steve... might mean he can't sing anymore, might just be temporary like they've said. I just don't think the sound man would tell someone in conversation that he was actually ill when he's not. If he wanted to cover up he could just say he didn't know as yet.

The whole thing is just weird now.

contrary to what certain people on the net think......he really was sick. The whole band was sick in Minneapolis back in December. If you've never had pneumonia, it can start as simply as a runny nose....then bam you are down and out for the count. And if you suffer with any kind of respiratory issues it can have severe side effects. I speak from personal knowledge...I've had it twice and you might feel better, but the minute you overdo it.....bam down you go again.

Again Steve Augeri's medical status NTKB.

Elson siad Steve is going to another specialist...another opinion.
Until Steve KNOWS what is wrong, there will be no official statement.

As for the Chile/Hawaii thing: The band cancelled Chile stating Steve had pneumonia. (I am not sure that is true, even Pit said it was something worse). Journey probably cancelled the show because of the extent of travelling it would take (definately longer than going to Hawaii) and it was to be televised and streamed. However, Steve could have been on the tail end of the "pneumonia" and felt it was best to give himself a little more time off. Another week or so (I do not recall it being exactly 7 days late) and he would have been iin even better shape AND he would have less travelling to endure.

Thank you. Once again, to all Journey fans, I am sorry I ever posted this. And, being in the medical field for the last 20 years, you do not find out dx. in a day or two. Sometimes it takes months. JOURNEY IS A BUSINESS!!!! YOU DO NOT MAKE OFFICIAL STATEMENTS UNTIL SOMETHING IS CONFIRMED!!!!!!!! It does not make Kevin Elson to be a liar. They probably DO NOT KNOW YET!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully noone here EVER gets sick. You will kill yourselves if you do not have an answer within 24 hours. Once again, good post journeyman28. I am truly sorry I ever posted this. I was trying to inform people WHO ARE REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT HUMAN HEALTH!!

dont' get ;em in a wad... If you read closer, you'll see people are questioning that the original post is real or not. But obviously you are set in your ways. No one in their right mind would tell someone that, knowing that it will be repeated.

People do not seem to be laughing at the health issue- on the contrary, a genuine concern and sympathy seem to be evident. I don't see anyone being ruthless either. Why the thread was pulled (over there) does not matter here. There have been a series of unfortunate events, but at least Steve Augeri is getting the medical attention he needs. Whether or not he returns to the stage is irrelevant to me at this point- his health is what matters.

I agree. And, yes I knew this would be taken all over the place. Once again, I was simply trying to let those who have been asking his condition what I had seen. As for Kevin. I do not think he was in a wrong mind at all. Just speaking to a concerned fan about what he knew. That is one thing I love about Journey. They are always willing to talk to fans when you have the opportunity to meet them.

So to get answers, we have to meet them? If we'd have known that, then getting all this past mess cleared up would have been easier for everyone.

No series of "unfortunate events"....the guy got sick at the beginning of the year and didn't fully recover.

which is exactly why this tour should not have happened. If the guy was sick, they should have done something BEFORE the tour started, instead of trying to scam fans, Augeri included.

Going on a full scale tour not fully recovered is pretty lame. Regardless of what you believe, unfortunate events took place. Each time he went on stage to sing, if you believe he was singing live, was leading to the demise of his voice. If you believe tapes were being used, oh you don't, so nevermind.

I see where you're coming from except for the scamming part, but lets agree to disagree. :)

I am sure this tour has been signed and sealed since well before the last tour ended. Kind of hard to cancel at that point. Especially if he was feeling well after resting for a few months. Alot of people got sick over in the UK and he very well could have had a relapse. But again NTKB.

That's right I do not believe tape gate...sorry.

Ever push yourself to go to work because you know it's important? That's what I believe happened. I heard him live three times this tour and his voice was rough, but not as awful as some would have people believe.

oh hell no! I don't spend $1100 a year on concerts, maybe not even 3-4 or more years. Hell I'll even go so far as to say I havent' spent $1100 in the past 10 years on concerts. No one is worth that much money to see "live". ya know?

I was kidding and I agree with you. I've spent that on many concerts over the past 10 years. I would never even spend close to that to see a band and meet them for 2 mins. Woooo ....

No need to apolgize, I'm all for people making up their own minds. The tour was not booked last year. Whatever the truth is, no one other than those involved will ever know. Fans have been left to speculate and draw their own conclusions. A simple denial of the allegations- once it was wide spead, would have put a lot to rest, but that is just my opinion.

I couldn't get 100 people to pay me $11 each to perform.

I love the disclaimers for those ticket prices, "does not guarantee you'll actually meet the band members". That's a hell of a chance someone is taking. I hope their kids are eating well, if they are paying those kinds of prices. Me, I'll stick with a $25 lawn ticket, and eat a nice steak when I get home.

Allegations thrown the way they were thrown here do not deserve a reply. it's like answering some rag like the National Enquirer. And that is my opinion. And I guess you are on the inside now since you know their time frame for their business dealings.

Maria, the allegations went further than MR. No need to get snippy, just saying what I was told. If you want to call that "the inside" by all means do, and it would not be now, it was last December I was told.

gee I'm sorry but I have not said that I know anything for fact whereas other people have. That is not BT, that is just the truth. You have not said you know anything for fact except for respect to Chile because you have experienced that. Again truth.
