A little negativity and they cancel their subscriptions??? That's the funniest (Or saddest) thing I've read today. LOL

Would like to know if the author tried to get an official statement from the band as part of the article.

The funniest part of all this is all the people who keep referring to this situation as "gossip" and that the band should/could take the magazine to court. Denial...denial...

No shit Fred. They've said nothing about it. people need to pull their head out of their collective asses and deal with reality. They were caught and Journey is now sinking.

Now that I'm a rant, what really pisses me off, is they deceived fans by saying this was a co-headliner tour and people shelled out big bucs for that vip bullshit. For what? To see a sinking ship on a 10x10 stage? Perry was right, they should have left Journey alone.

Rock Fn, I'm there with you abotu them getting in the HOF, however there will probably be someone soon, mentioning (rightfully so) that the HOF is a joke, but their reason will be because Journey isn't already in, Not because it actually IS a joke. They're doing NOTHING to help themselves out as far as credibility anymore.

Thinking of Steve Miller... Whooooa take the money and run...

Did they state as fact that he was lipping or did they say it in a way that covers their ass like "there are rumors" or "it's being reported that..."

If you're going to start dissing the thread on the 'other' site at least check on what was actually said. Nobody has cancelled their subscription as a result of this 'newspiece'. One person said they might consider it, and several others said they had cancelled their subscription to the magazine long ago, due to its dubious quality. I cancelled my subscription last year because most of the news' is months out of date or inaccurate, the articles are often biased and the magazine publishers don't seem to be very fan friendly - unless you are buying Ad space with them they are not keen to enter into correspondence with you. Nothing to do with recent allegations.

I spoke to Dave Ling about this last month. Hell, I knew it was coming. Think they are bent out of shape about this, there will a much bigger news article coming next month, that will dwarf this one, so get ready.

I find it funny over at BT, they want the band to sue the magazine. You can't sue someone who is telling the truth. Jesus.....

BT'ers cancelling their subscriptions?

They probably can't afford it and are just looking for an excuse.

They just got a new subscriber.

Aren't these magazines extremely late on the subject? The band already took the offending singer out of the running...

Morons!! Please read
Ive been here some time now...decided to sign up...this forum is riddled with repulsive, small minded, and small-dicked, (evidently), little toss-pots

I dont know who the moderators are here.. but they should be shot..... the language used here is excessive...and the abuse seems very personal

What Monker says is correct

There seems to be about half a dozen people here who are ignoring Andrew's requests...and plainly just not interested in keeping this forum "clean and informed" they quite clearly are just "taking the piss" out of Andrew..and have no respect for his wishes at all .....

It all makes for pretty pathetic reading, from an "outsiders" point of view.. I think a few have lost the plot here.... the place needs to be "cleansed" of the detritus, .. (I think the word "morons, was used..how apt..as the standard of post here is pretty moronic) and needs to be rebuilt

Adios to some of you I think, when normality returns

you people get the drift yet??

Dave Ling is known over here (in his native country) as the man who reviews bands from the bar (which often is not in sight of the stage). Noone takes him seriously and Classic Rock is always 2 months late on any news.... by which point those who 'care' already know, and those that 'don't care' could give a shit anyway......

Although I don't know Dave Ling personally, I certainly respect his opinions and his writings and am a daily visitor to his very entertaining website with online diary at www.daveling.co.uk. He was ecstatic after seeing Journey in Manchester and gutted to learn he'd been conned. Sounds like he used to be a piss-head as a younger man so wouldn't surprise me if he hadn't reviewed from the bar back then. Not anymore though.
