As it happens, I think the response over there was relatively muted. If anything, here were more people here who were assuming the site had gone for good, because of the behaviour here of late. That tells its own story.

no ,, marty didnt say that at all,, marty said it was only because of a particular person that there were problems and from what i rmember was defending all of us,,, and people werent too kind back to marty,therefore the deletion, no celebration from marty ,, marty rocked,, marty has a way of seeing both sides ,, have to read "it" carefully,, is marty a dude? im tired of typing marty,, ... mcfly!!! hello!!!

On the contrary, I suggested that IF it was closed down (which wasn't clear at the time) it wouldn't necessarily be the good news that 'some' BTers might think. There's no doubt that MR has been afflicted by Trolls recently, and without a home, some of them would certainly attempt to get through the BT Mod barrier.

I also commented that I felt sorry for those reasonable posters here, and that was sincere. MR can be a very good forum, but it is its own worst enemy, allowing the few troublemakers free rein to cause havoc and spoil it for the many.

,, yea i was a bit disapointed why someone would write up that thread in celebration and song that we closed,, that person was a little out of whack,, however, wouldnt u agree with marty on his point that we "overreacted" more than they reacted,, bam!! we were off and immediatley went to all the other forums,, this morning 10 of my forum titles were bright red where journey folks had been posting,, most of these have very little movement , but we foudn each other and were talking about it,, all but that poor kiss bored,, ugh :cry:

I need to clarify something. I'm not going to mention names or a website (clearing throat) and I do appreciate Andrew giving us a place to speak our mind. I've been around since the old yahoo Journey board. I've seen everything over the past 6 years. There are a lot people who are not what they appear to be. They will act one way to your face and then stab you in the back in a heartbeat. They will act roses and candy on the web, then fuck you over in a New York Minute. Or, act like you're their biggest friend on the web( To Impress other people ) and then treat you like shit when they see you. To top it off, the ones that scream the loudest are the worst ones. Two faced is a kind word for them. Don't get me wrong, I've met some nice people who I've become friends with.

So those of you who claim to be the keepers, holier than thou, I would really love to put your names here and the shit you've pulled over the years, but out of respect for Andrew I won't. I've come to respect this site much more.

The posts at BT were (most part) not inflammatory. Contrary to what is stated by some here and there, the posts were supportive for MR. The trolls that stir the pot were noted by all. This is (aside from the slam-fest) the contributing factor of the comments made. I said it before. Both fan-sites have changed (forum). Dare I say, at times they seem identical. It may be due to unbiased cross posts (i.e.: posting on both forums). Due to respect, BT closed the thread.

Yes I'm back, the time away was ok, but I was more than disappointed at the amount of BS in here from just 6 days. Seriously disappointed.

I had to delete 20 threads and ban 3 users. Next time I will close the board while I am away.
