Also, it seems most of you who go on here are bulletproof, used to a little tongue & cheek...I don't attack anyone but I sure as hell defend my honor, my diginity & what I do for a living, which now means I do the same to protect the dignity of the band who have entrusted me to assist them continue out this tour. Well, that's a good attitude to have. But, what I want to know is if you are going to be in Journey after this tour, this fall, next spring, next summer, next album, next tour.

A bigger audience? Even if Perry had continued in the band since TBF, I doubt the audience would be much bigger then it is today. I don't think that has ANY chance of happening.

According to what I just read on the official site...it's Augeri's vocals and another clip will be issued with JSS vocals from management shortly.

Hey JSS,

Good to hear from you! One thing I find hilarious about this forum (and most others) is that many people will say what they want, anyway they want to, regardless of how offensive it might be. However if YOU (the artist, who is on the receiving end of those negative comments) stoop to respond in kind, then of course YOU'RE the "loser" for doing that. The other truth is of course, that no one would say some of these comments directly to your face, that they've written here. It's much easier to type it, behind the relative anonymity of a computer keyboard. People are pretty brave that way, but you already know that.

I was one who said I wasn't sure your voice could handle the strain of singing Perry-range night after night, but the bottom line is, if YOU think your voice can handle it and you do it, then more power to you! Whether or not you SHOULD be in the band is not my decision to make. It rests with you and the guys. I can comment on it and have, but unlike many here, I don't think that I OWN Journey and therefore have a right to be the "armchair quarterback" about every decision the band makes.

There are also too many people in "disguise" here. They pretend they are pro Journey, when in actuality, they will never be satisfied until Steve Perry returns to Journey, which will never happen. For those people, their disdain for you and the band is based on that and that alone.

Have a good tour! 8)

Like JSS said, they recorded it that way, but the audio didn't turn out to be the best in all likelihood, so they put in Augeri's vocals. I'm not sure why this is a big deal to anyone since it was a commercial.

When Augeri first started with the band and some of the commercials on the radio used Perry's voice, people were up in arms over it. Yet, the band made it clear that they had recorded all the promos with Augeri's voice. Whether or not the radio stations chose to use those versions was something that the band could not enforce.

Journey will not get ANY new younger fans from either JSS or SA... it's just not so. Young people hear Perry sing DSB on Family Guy and think they love Journey even though they don't get much further than Greatest Hits. They will not hear Journey today (with any singer) and think, "Wow, that's a really good band, I'll check them out."

i respectfully disagree. it's not just the music that might perhaps attract an audience. look at the reaction by the older women with the red leather wiggle.
jss is nice to look at, i believe he's a bit younger than sa and he's got more than a wiggle to attract an audience.

And please name a few more songs off that session so I can be totally sure it´s really you.
I´ve got it right here in front of me,all the songs from that session.

Jeff is a true powerhouse singer and I´m a fan of the SS album but I just wanted to make it clear that JSS is the one he says he is.

You must be talking about Redlist, or as it was originally titled Velvet J, with Neil Goldberg (formerly of Annihilator) on guitar & Dave Fraser on keys. Titles, let me remember, we had:

4given
Mad Reign
Believe
The World Today
Kingdom's Come Undone
Living Proof
Migraine
Take U Higher
The World 2day
I Aint Your Man
Backstabber
Swallow
Mad Reign
Ignorance
This Is My Life

I believe that's all we had...come on bro, give me something harder like Marcel's birthdate or my mom's maiden name :)

It's all good guys, I enjoy interacting but I gotta lay low, don't wanna misrepresent in anyway...BTW we rehearsed Place In Your Heart today, could make a debut on the next leg, fun one to sing!

Thanks Journey/Survivor. It needs to be stated more often. The only other choice is allowing the "disguised few" to speak for the rest of us. Since they can't fight fair (with logic and solid reasoning), they'll resort to below-the-belt tactics. But since they have nothing else going for them, what can you expect?

solid logic is that JSS is the singer of the band right now,, if a nut attacks him , let him attack back ,, u dont have to be a civil engineer or a eet major, or the drummer in poison to figure that one out,,

All I can say is that I think it's fantastic that the lead singer of our favorite band actually takes the time to come and talk with us. Very classy. I haven't had the chance to see you in concert yet Jeff, but I wish you and the band a lot of success and I hope you guys will be writing some new stuff soon.

Hey Jeff, very cool it is you, sorry for not believing so in the first place but you gotta be
careful with this place.
Redlist is an awesome piece of work that should be released.
I don´t know your mom´s maiden name so that´s why I couldn´t ask that :?
It´s just that I never thought anyone in JRNY would ever post here.
So now we´ll just have to wait for the other guys to show up as well :D

Again, it wasn't meant to offend, it was simply my way of saying that you're vocal range is much lower. Maybe I should have worded it differently but hey nobody's perfect right? I still stand by my statement that name calling is very classy. Nice way to win fans dude.

However, I don't see my original post as an attack and I'm certainly not a nut. If Jeff wants to defend himself, his abilities and the band that's one thing. Name calling simply shows a lack of professionalism, and class, not to mention manners.

If I slam Jeff, and he doesn't like it, I don't want him acting "presidential." I want him to be a fucking rock star and say exactly what he feels. I believe the guy to be brutally honest. I love that. An honest, say it like it is dude.

Remember, Jeff is no angel (which is a good thing).

The guy penned these lyrics:

I need your tits in my face
I need you bare on the floor
I watch you from my window
til my flag unfurls

Awesome. Brilliant. Sexy and dirty. THAT is a rock lyric.

NOT, "Butterfly, she flies alone" - Sorry, that is too gay, Mmkay.
