Augeri-Heads versus Perry-Heads

Postby Eric » Tue Aug 01, 2006 11:53 pm

Who is worse?

On one hand, many P-heads still don't realize that 8 years later Mr. P has done nothing, so the band not waiting was prolly a good idear, however, A-heads don't get it that the band had zero hits in 8 years with Mr. A, and that if they can replace the greatest voice in rock history, they can replace his adequate replacement.

Tough choice.

Perryheads, hands down. At least the Augeri-heads almost always enjoy both eras of the band. As far as not having any "hits" with Augeri, who cares. I enjoy the music in both eras of the band regardless of if it was on the charts or not.

I don't give a rip that the band had "no hits" w/ SA. It's a moot argument given the AOR climate when SA came aboard. They would've had plenty of hits if it happened in 86-87.... I'm just happy they put out the records they did w/ Augeri and hope they continue to do it w/ either he or JSS.

Oh...AugeriHeads are worse for sure....their passion for medicocrity never fails to amaze me.

Sure, we PerryHeads can be a little smug and annoying....but that comes from over-exposure to our guy's class, soul and spectacular success.

Class? I know several fans who have had some not-so-classy encounters with the guy and they did nothing to deserve it.

Really? What happened?

Not that I mind though...I'm not into all that Augerio humility crap....rock stars ought to be aloof and grandiose...
so that's yet another tick in the box for the Voice.

Although...the Voice was charm itself to the ladies of Perryville recently.

What about the Soto-heads?? Or do we have to wait a while for this one to get going? LOL

Both are bad in their little ways and way too passionate, which can be good. Most of these hard-core fans can't or won't even let the others express their opinions on their favorite singer, they always have to have a comeback ready on how bad or some issue on the other singer. Then it turns into war and then the personal attacks get going again.

Perry is one of the best singers in the world. But I accepted the other Steve because I still love to hear the music live and I'll accept Jeff too.

Where's the joke? Am I missing something here?

Does Perry have class? As a musician? Yes...classy as hell....As a guy who has kept a dignified silence about Schon and Can's shenanigans? Again - v.classy....

Okay - he might have beewn a little controlling back in the day...but without the iron fist of Perry Journey would have meandered off into obscurity....which they were doing before he joined...and have done so since Perry's departure.

So as a Leader of Men...he's a class act.

Is he a soulful singer? Well, it's so obvious that he is I surely don't need to defend him on that score.

And spectacular success? We all know how many albums Journey have sold...with Perry in the band.

So...it's all an intoxicating brew...and it's no wonder that so many PerryHeads aren't sensible and rational people...we're just too high on the man's vibe.

Schon & Cains shenanigans?!? They were nothing on Perrys.....
It was Herbie's iron fist that steered them & Perry's pig-headedness that ruined it all....

I actually like both...and I'm a Soto-head. The no hits thing wasn't a slap to Journey or Augeri, it was just to illustrate that if P was replaced then A can be replaced....

POST: Journey got great reviews last night. Soto showed great energy.
REPLY: Ummm, excuse me, but Mr. Stevie Awesome is the lead singer of Journey. Thank You very much. You should be praying for his return.

My answer... Perryheads are far worse. 8 years and they're still boycotting a friggin' band. If Augeriheads are still obsessed with Neal and Jon's decisions in 8 years, maybe you have an argument.

so that's yet another tick in the box for the Voice.

So do you want him to be an asshole or not, Matthew?

I haven't heard Augeri make any comments about Schon and Cain... is he classy too?

Matthew,

Don't waste your energy on the Perry haters. They are so out of touch, drone and BORING. They make all kinds of excuses for Schon, Cain and Herbie, etc. Talk about hero worship? They take the cake and the walk! Instead of giving Steve P. his props they have to dissect every action or decision he ever made. Then on top of it, make all sorts of demeaning comments about his current status. His weight, his voice or lack there of. You name it, they got a big negative to lay on him. All this with NO first hand knowledge of any of it!

Those that have first hand knowledge, choose to take the high road and not comment. Oh, with the exception of HH, Cain and Schon. H'mm wonder why?
"Me" thinks they do protest too much! As for Cain and Schon, they created their own current nightmare by blowing through much of the money they've made over the last 25 years. They are victims of their own bad judgment calls. Let's hear what the haters have to say about that? I'm sure somehow they will find away to make them "Perry" victims once more.

Clueless, ignorant idiots, not worth your time or comments.

Take care.

A Perryhead once again proves their idiocy. No one here is a "Perry hater". Perry is not a god. Get over it.
