Random observation: anyone else notice that in the first photo of Perry, the mic cord on the stage forms his initials?

MAN...that tour schedule was grueling! :o When did they have time to record EVOLUTION? I noticed there was a 4 month gap betweeen September 2nd and the December 31, 1978 San Fran show ...was Dunbar already replaced with Smitty for that particular show? I'm thinking EVOLUTION had to have been recorded during that 4 month gap...because it was released in what...March '79??
