This is all on him. I have altered my blame. Sure Neal and Friga are somewhat guilty, but this is mostly on Augeri. He will never see another stage again.

Jon and Neal are gonna keep writing Journey music, and if the vocalist can't keep up, he will be promptly thrown to the curb.
NoMoreTails wrote:Maybe, but this contradicts the previous opinion of most everyone here, that being that they were no longer motivated to write for Journey.

Augeri did continue the Journey after Steve left, and I am thankful for that, even tho I wasn't moved or captured by Augeri's voice. Now with JSS filling in for the rest of the tour, my interest in Journey has perked up again. I, for one, believe that if given the chance, JSS should continue with Journey. I like his spin on the "Dirty Dozen". JSS has his own style, and isn't trying to copy Steve Perry.
And another thing, since JSS joined up, there is interest in his music (especially for me !), apart from Journey. I believe that this was fate, or something like that, to expose alot more people to JSS music. He isn't that well-known here, so this is a great opportunity for JSS to get a bigger fanbase here, at home.![]()

Well said, lady, I feel the same way. The only thing that concerns me is JSS's work pre-Journey...I don't want it to get burried. I don't see Journey performing any of those songs, so I just hope that JSS will have the time and energy to get back with the other bands, and play some shows here.
I find it amazing that he is so well known in Europe, and not as well known here. I'm thinking that is a change underway

He did that already with "Butterfly" and the song got excised from Journey's setlist in less than a week.

Does anyone really think FITH or TPIYH were tailor-made with Augeri in mind?
I don't.
In fact, I think Cain and Schon make believe Perry is still in the room with them as they compose.
