Never sold on eBay before, but I thought I'd try to make some pocket change. I wrote the listing and got "Are you attempting to list an unauthorized copy? Are you aware that the listing of such items is not allowed on eBay?" Then it says if I continue, the listing wil be flagged for review etc. etc.
My item is a made-for-TV movie that was aired a couple of times years ago. I burned it to DVD. Now, there are no "authorized copies" because it was never released here and never for sale, only as a hard-to-find rental in Australia. In fact it was mostly forgotten except among long-time fans (where there is still a demand). I've seen tons of sellers with homemade DVDs for sports, movies, concert boots, etc. and they don't seem to have any problems. I've bought a few of them myself.
Q: What's the risk of going ahead and listing it? I have 100% feedback and don't want any black marks on my eBay account. I did add "You are bidding on time and materials, not content." Is that enough to keep it legit, or is that a red flag for eBay to yank it?
