IIRC Strung Out and Oh Sherrie were a duo of concept vids making fun of the industry...

Ha, I'd forgotten all that other stuff in there because eMpTyV usually just showed the song and not the other stuff. Funny. Perry looked like he was having fun. That video looked a lot better than any of the videos Journey did (other than the live ones).

do you think Strung Out is what made Neal mad in the first place regarding Perry's solo LP at that time... that would have been a HUGE journey tune.. MHO...

Hey Rick....

You think so?

I don't know....the whole "vibe" of that song is very "Motown '60s" IMO. Totally away from the Journey thing.

....and that's exactly what Steve wanted - since he was paying homage to his influences.

I've always thought that deep down, Neal knew that whatever Steve decided to do, it would "turn to gold", in a manner of speaking...
