That's the reason I chose "Conquest," knowing that JSS/Neal collaborations have traditionally been a little heavier than most.

Maybe something like.... "Annihilation!"

I dunno.... some strange, sick part of me seems to be yearning for a new heavy and progressive Journey experience.

Me too.
"Apocalypse" "Conquest" "Annihnilation"...something along those dramatic lines.
Can't do "Armageddon" cuz it instantly triggers memories of that Bruce Willis shitfest.

Yeah, that, or may be "Redemption" or "Salvation".
But these are beggining to sound less like Journey and more like titles of some Monk Hymn anthology.

LOL!

Dude, imagine how much more albums Journey could sell on this next release if it has such a bombastic title, and features a scarab weilding a broadsword as he charges into battle!

Bad ass.
I like the way you think.

Say, JSS is known for his provocative and rather carnal lyrics.
How about "Skank" or "Skanky".
I can hear it in concert already, "this next song is off of our Skanky album!"
Think about it.

The way most bands of Journey's ilk go nowadays, I think it's safe money that the next album will have 'hits' in the title before you see something along the lines of re-entry or deanolution or whatever.

Night after night the man proved himself a liability.
He's up there garbling like a drowned cat and meanwhile Neal and Jon have to put on labored smiles?
Fuck that.

Yeah, let's keep JSS so only Jon has to put on a labored smile.

Destiny has been suggested for years...

Freedom sounds lame...

I personally think Journey will never release another album.

I think the odds of new Journey music have improved now with JSS.
With Augeri there, Neal didn't seem motivated to put out new product.

TNC, why do you think Augeri's presence was a 'non-motivating' factor for Neal to write new music? Just curious...

Yeah, I'll be you're right about that. Plus Neal seems disenchanted with the distribution process. They would probably go the same route as last time, hand them out at the shows and roll it into the ticket price.

I think Jon was less motivated than Neal, I don't think either can be blamed on Augeri.

If they do an album with JSS singing call it "Journey SoulSirkus".

Honestly Liz?

I think as Neal saw Augeri's vocals decline with each passing tour, he began to feel less inclined to write.
Why create new songs if the lead singer can't reliably pull them off.
What's the use?
They were practically in the same position as they were during TBF - they had music, but no singer to sing them.
Only difference being, this singer actually wanted to be there.

Or, it could've been something else entiriely.
Perhaps the chemistry simply wasn't there.

But Augeri did sound better than ever on Generations and they were less than committed to playing new stuff live anyway.
