Your Best Non-Journey Boot

Postby NealIsGod » Wed Aug 09, 2006 1:31 am

What is the best non-Journey boot you own or have seen/heard? Be sure to mention if it is video or audio. Has to be a boot, not a TV show.

My current fave is a Rush pro-shot DVD from 1994.

There is an awesome soundboard boot of Cream from 1968 on Guitars101. I am listening to "White Room" right now. :D

I think mine would have to be Styx: Grand Illusion 20th Anniversary in Pittsburg in '97. Unfortunatly on this one...the SONG Grand Illusion is cut off as well as most of Too Much Time On My Hands. Got a boot from Radio City the same year...so I mixed em. Bad video splice...but oh well. lol.

Bruce Springsteen - 3 CD, 3 hour show from Passaic, NJ Sept. 19, 1978. This bootleg is titled "Piece de Resistance", and is a wonderful soundboard with a young, powerful Bruce showing why he is "The Boss". This was actually "remastered" a few years ago by the excellent German bootleg company Crystal Cat as another 3-disc set with a lot of bonus tracks from other shows and was called "Passaic Night". There are so many great Springsteen bootlegs it's hard just to mention one!

Dude, tread lightly with the Toto smack. Those fuckers are on my shitlist.

And if you tell me one more time Toto is better musically or better live than my man BA, I am blowing up this site.

Bruce Piece De Resistance is good, as is Bruce Main Pointe....

But then I DO have The Rolling Stones Stripped Companion ('95) and it just blows things up.

I know Mac will come blowing in here spewing his Toto rules shit, but Mac is wrong. Adams, is better than Toto in every facet...Keith Scott is very bit as good as Lukather, and BA is a better singer/composer than the lead singer with the gay mustache in Toto.

Honestly...is there anything f'n gayer than trying to compare "BA" to Toto, or Journey for that matter, for a place of preference? 9 out of 10 individuals will call you a pussy for listening to any of them.

Put your Wham cd's away Deano!

I have quite a few Styx / DDY / Tommy boots! The older ones are the best! I think the audio boot from 75' is the best :)
