Escape - remastered - any scans?

Postby Scott W » Sat Aug 12, 2006 3:12 am

Hi Guys

I'm really appreciating the comments and info on here.
Can anyone post up scans of the remastered 'Escape' cd?
I noticed the other 'remasters' have been done, anyone got Escape?
Many thanks in advance

Regards from Scotland

I was going to scan them but I saw someone already did. And for your knowledge they are ReIssues, they are the same remasters as the ones issued in 1996.

I'm noticing something when looking at these books. Despite the reputation of being a control freak or whatever...usually when that's the case, whoever it is positions themselves literally in every photo or place out front and center.

Perry doesn't do that. He's not listed first in album credits, he's rarely front or center in any of the promo photos. Weird. Look at, say, Van Halen or Judas Priest for examples of what I'm talking about. Kiss is always the worst too. Gene and Paul are always top, front or center if not all three, even when Ace/Peter were there.

I think Perry got controlling during/after the ESCAPE tour. By the time they started touring for FRONTIERS, he was already doing a lot of traveling on his own and, once he got a taste of some solo success... look out world, bigtime Ego Freak

love the pics... especially the one with the guys sitting on the stage with some one who likes might be interviewing?? I just cant see spending the money for all the reissues.. Would you not rather have a rarities cd or whatever they have hiding in a vault... that would be more pleasureable than the same old same old GH/Time 3 or reissues... MHO..

So....is that "La Raza Del Sol" the same version from Time 3, or the actual B-side from "Still They Ride" (with all electric g-tar solo)...Anyone know?

Thank you Classic Rock for posting the link. The one thing that got my attention is the list of concerts dates. The dates go from June 1981 until July 1982 with very little if any breaks in that time frame. Totally unbelievable! Gives you a greater respect for all in the group to stay out there for that long.

Yeah, those tour dates, is it any wonder Perry's voice changed? As for the re-issues, a rehash, not interested. How many times are they going to release these Houston '81 tunes?

The Departure reissue is a new remaster, tho. The "leaked" one is not the Ludwig mastering.

How do you know its new though it doesn't have a year. On the new Boston remasters it says Tom Sholz (2006). Same with the Ludwing remasters (1996).

Because Ludwig did the 1996 ones. DNA didn't do the pre-1996 ones since they were not in existence as far as I know, so this is a new post-1996 remaster. Not too hard to figure out.

And my ears are also pretty good. This mastering is crap.

When I put the cd into my computer it says La Raza Del Sol [Alternate] so I'm guessing it is the same one from Time 3.
