JSS is the perfect fit because a certain percentage of Journey fans are familiar with him because of SS.

Look, Jeff is promoting himself just by showing up.
This Journey tour is massive exposure for the dude.

Yes it is ! Can you imagine that people, me included, who hadn't heard of JSS before this is now looking for his work? Hopefully this exposure will get him and his band, if the Journey gig is a one-off thing, to tour the States.
